Ail Dîm allan o'r Cwpan / Reserves out of Barritt Cup

Colli fu hanes yr Ail Dîm yng Nghwpan Barritt, yn erbyn y Bontnewydd ar y Traeth neithiwr, a hynny o 2-0. Aled Rice a Morgan Roberts oedd y sgorwyr y gyntaf ar ôl 64 munud a'r llall yn dilyn ar ôl 75 munud. Methodd Port gyfleoedd di-ri -clywsoch chi hynny o'r blaen tybed? Yn y rownd nesaf bydd y Bontnewydd yn croesawu Conwy.

Port yn rhoi Cerdyn Coch i Hiliaeth / Port give racism the Red Card

Dangoswch y cerdyn coch i hiliaeth - CPD Porthmadog FC - Show racism the red cardCynhaliwyd diwrnod Cerdyn Coch i Hiliaeth ddydd Sadwrn pan y Bala oedd yr ymwelwyr. Eglurodd ysgrifennydd y clwb, Gerallt Owen, “Gan ein bod oddi cartref, yn Hwlffordd, ar y diwrnod swyddogol, teimlai'r clwb ei bod yn bwysig cynnal diwrnod hefyd ar y Traeth i ddangos cefnogaeth i'r ymdrech hon.”
Wrth gynhesu cyn y gêm roedd y chwaraewyr yn gwisgo'r Crysau-T arbennig ac roedd yna bamffledi a thaflenni ar gael yng Nghlwb y Traeth ac yn Siop y Clwb.

Porthmadog FC held a Give Racism a Red Card Day on Saturday when the visitors were Bala. Secretary, Gerallt Owen said, “The club felt, as they were away at Haverfordwest for the official day in October, that they should show their support for this important initiative by holding a similar day at the Traeth.”
The players wore the special Red card T-shirts during the pre-match warm-up and there were brochures and leaflets available in the Clubhouse and Club Shop.

Cyngor Gwynedd Mae CPD Porthmadog wedi bod yn llwyddiannus yn eu cais cynllunio i godi eisteddle ar ben y chwarel o'r cae a hefyd codi stiwdio deledu. Caniatawyd y cais gan Bwyllgor Cynllunio Dwyfor o Gyngor Gwynedd. Golyga hyn fod darn arall o'r jig-so mewn lle wrth i'r clwb geisio sicrhau y Drwydded Domestig sydd yn amod ar gyfer mynediad i'r UGC yn dilyn yr ail wampio.

Gem nos Fawrth wedi gohirio / Tuesday night's match postponed

Gem yn erbyn Bala ymlaen / Game against Bala to go ahead

Mae'r dadmer mawr wedi dod mewn pryd i ddarbi 'arall' Gwynedd, ar y Traeth yfory, fynd yn eu blaen am 2.30 pm. “Os na fydd yna fonswn rhwng heno a pnawn yfory dylai pob dim fod yn iawn,” oedd sylw Gerallt Owen, ysgrifennydd y clwb, ynghynt yn y dydd heddiw.

The thaw has arrived in time and Gwynedd's other derby against Bala will go ahead at the Traeth tomorrow (Saturday) at 2.30 pm. “If we don't get a monsoon between now and tomorrow all should be well,” was secretary Gerallt Owen's comment earlier this afternoon.

Marc Evans a dyfarniad y Gymdeithas Bêl-droed / Marc Evans and the FAW decision

Er gwaetha'r ffaith fod yna gytundeb ysgrifenedig rhwng CPD Porthmadog a Llangefni -a hyn yn cael ei gadarnhau gan y clwb a hefyd gan Marc Evans ei hun- mae rheol y Gymdeithas Bêl-droed wedi cymryd y flaenoriaeth. Roedd Llangefni wedi cytuno i beidio galw Marc yn ôl tan ddiwedd tymor 2009/10 ond mae rheol y Gymdeithas yn dweud fod hawl gan glwb, yn dilyn cyfnod o 28 niwrnod, i alw chwaraewr ar fenthyg yn ôl.

Despite the fact that there was an existing written agreement between Porthmadog FC and Llangefni -a fact confirmed to the FAW by both Porthmadog FC and Marc Evans himself- precedence has been taken by an FAW rule. The agreement stated that Llangefni would not recall Marc until the end of the 2009/10 season but the FAW ruling states that a club is able to recall a loan player at any time once a period of 28 days has elapsed.

Trwydded Ddomestig yn parhau i fod yn nod / Domestic licence is still the aim

Gwella Meysydd Chwarae Cymru / Welsh Ground ImprovementsMae CPD Porthmadog wedi derbyn cadarnhad y byddwn yn derbyn grant o £24,100 gan Gwella Meysydd Chwarae Cymru, sy'n cael ei ariannu gan Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru. Bydd hyn yn rhoi 75% o'r swm sydd angen i roi'r strwythur angenrheidiol er mwyn cael y Drwydded Ddomestig. Mae apêl ariannol y Clwb yn barod wedi dechrau er mwyn codi gweddill yr arian.
Mae'r Clwb hefyd wedi rhoi cais am grant, o ffynhonnell leol, i gynyddu'r nifer o seddi i 700, gwella'r cyfleusterau darlledu a goleuadau argyfwng o gwmpas y maes. Bydd hyn yn galluogi'r Clwb i wneud cais am gemau rhyngwladol ac i gynnal adloniant awyr agored a digwyddiadau chwaraeon.

Porthmadog Football Club have received confirmation of a £24,100 grant from the Welsh Ground Improvements, funded by the FAW. This will provide 75% of the amount required to give the Club the minimum infrastructure to meet the Domestic Licence. The Club already have an appeal fund on-going to raise the balance required.
The Club have also applied for a grant, from a local source, to further increase seating capacity to 700, improve TV broadcast facilities and emergency lighting around the ground. This will enable the Club to bid for International matches and to promote outdoor entertainment and sporting events.

Rhagolwg: v Bala / Preview: v Bala

Bala Y tywydd fu'r prif bwnc trafod ym mhêl-droed yn ddiweddar a fydd hyn yn parhau tra'n bod yn aros i weld os ddaw'r dadmer yn ddigon buan i ddarbi 'arall' Gwynedd fynd yn ei blaen.
Yr ail bwnc trafod wrth gwrs ydy symudiadau'r ffenest drosglwyddo. Mae'r ddau glwb wedi arwyddo dau chwaraewr newydd yr un, gyda Bala yn mynd a Mike Thompson o Port ond yn fwy arwyddocaol efallai arwyddo'r profiadol Danny Williams, a fu'n chwaraewr proffesiynol gyda Wrecsam a Kidderminster ac yn aelod o garfan llwyddiannus y Rhyl yn 2008/09.
Yn ymwybodol o'u diffyg goliau mae Port wedi arwyddo'r blaenwr, Andy Evans, sydd a record dda o sgorio, a hefyd dod yn ôl a Marcus Orlik, sydd bellach yn ffit ar ôl treulio cyfnod gyda Llangefni. Cawn weld ddydd Sadwrn yr effaith gaiff y newidiadau yma ar y ddau glwb.
Er yn methu cynnal eu sialens ar ben ucha'r tabl mae Bala wedi creu argraff fawr yn UGC yn eu tymor cyntaf. Ar hyn o bryd maent yn y 9fed safle ac mewn lle da i fynd amdani i sicrhau lle yn y 12 Disglair at y tymor nesaf.
Edrych i sicrhau cychwyn da i ail hanner y tymor mae Tomi, a dywedodd wrth yr Herald, “Da ni'n anelu i aros yn UGC. Mae yna 5 neu 6 o gemau lle da ni wedi colli gyda gwahaniaeth o ond un gôl, ac roedd yn bosib i ni gael canlyniad.”
Y tro diwethaf i'r ddau glwb gyfarfod -ar Faes Tegid- cafodd torf dda fwynhad yn gwylio pêl-droed cyffrous, ac er fod y gêm wedi gorffen yn ddi-sgôr roedd digon o gyffro o flaen y ddwy gôl. Edrychwn ymlaen i fwy o'r un fath ddydd Sadwrn -ond gyda'r canlyniad iawn!
Ewch i Coral i roi bet ar Porthmadog v Bala.

Recent football talk has been dominated by the weather and will be again while we wait and see whether the thaw arrives in time to allow the 'other' Gwynedd derby game to take place. The other obvious talking point has been the activity in the January transfer window.
Both clubs have brought in two players with Bala signing Port winger Mike Thompson but probably more significantly the, highly experienced, midfielder Danny Williams, former Wrexham and Kidderminster professional and a member of the championship winning Rhyl team of 2008/09.
Port, aware of their lack of goals, have brought in an experienced proven goalscorer in Andy Evans and also bringing back fit again Marcus Orlik from Llangefni. We shall see on Saturday the impact these changes have on both teams. Bala, although they have been unable to maintain their early challenge at the top of the table, have certainly made an impact on the league in their first WPL season and currently placed 9th they look placed to make a strong challenge for Super 12 status.
Tomi looks to kick start a revival in the second half of the season, telling the Herald, “We aim to stay in the Welsh Premier. There have been about five or six games where we have lost by the odd goal and could have got a result.” The last time the two clubs met they entertained a large crowd with some exciting end to end football and, though it ended goalless, there was plenty of goalmouth incident. Let's hope for more of the same on Saturday -but with the right result!

Tywydd yn difetha trefniadau'r Academi / Weather plays havoc with Academy arrangements

Mae 2010 yn cychwyn fel gorffennodd 2009 gyda'r tywydd yn achosi rhaglen yr Academi gael ei gohirio neu'i chanslo.
Ni fydd ymarfer i'r bechgyn nos Wener, 15 Ionawr.
Mae'r gemau Dan-11 yn erbyn Wrecsam yn ogystal a'r gemau Dan-12, Dan 14 a Dan-16, yn erbyn Prestatyn a oedd i'w chwarae yr wythnos hon, wedi'u gohirio.
“Mae'r rheswm am hyn, wrth gwrs, yn amlwg meddai'r gweinyddwr Eddie Blackburn, “oherwydd cyflwr peryglus caeau'r Clwb Chwaraeon sydd wedi rhewi'n gorn.
“Rym yn gweithio i adrefnu'r gemau yma, a phan fydd y manylion ar gael byddant yn ymddangos ar y wefan.
“Ar y funud rym yn edrych i groesawu Prestatyn yma ar ddydd Sul 24 Ionawr gyda'r Rhyl i ddod yma ar 31 Ionawr.
Rym am adrefnu'r gêm Tarian Tom Yeoman yn y Rhyl at ddydd Sadwrn 30 Ionawr ac i groesawu Sir Fflint i'r Traeth ar 6 Ionawr.
“Bydd yr ymarfer yn ail gychwyn ar nos Wener, 22 Ionawr ar yr amserau arferol.”

2010 seems to be starting where 2009 left off with the weather causing the cancellation and postponement of the Academy programme.
There will be no training for the boys on Friday, 15 January.
All games (U11 against Wrexham plus the U-12, U-14, U-16 against Prestatyn) scheduled for this coming weekend have been postponed.
“This, as I'm sure is obvious, said administrator Eddie Blackburn, “is due to the dangerous condition of the ice bound playing fields at Clwb Chwaraeon.
“We are working on re-arrangements for these matches, and as soon as I have details they will be posted on the website.
“Provisionally we are looking to host Prestatyn on Sunday 24 January and Rhyl on the 31 January.
“In the Tom Yeoman Shield we are looking to go to Rhyl on Saturday, 30 January and host Flintshire on 6 February.
“ Training will re start on Friday 22nd. January and will be held each Friday after that at the usual times."

Mwy o newyddion o'r meri-go-rownd trosglwyddo / More news from the transfer merry-go-round

Marc Evans Mae yna ddatblygiad yn yr hanes am alw Marc Evans yn ôl. Rhyddhawyd y newyddion ar wefan Llangefni ddoe, ond bellach mae CPD Porthmadog wedi ymateb gan ddweud fod yna cytundeb wedi arwyddo gan y glwb o Ynys Môn yn cadarnhau na fyddant yn galw Marc yn ôl tan ddiwedd y tymor. Mae'r mater yn nwylo'r Gymdeithas Bêl-droed er mwyn iddynt hwy ddyfarnu.
Mae trosglwyddiad Andy Evans wedi ei gwblhau ac roedd Andy a Marcus Orlik yn ymarfer gyda gweddill y garfan ar y Traeth neithiwr -er fod y cae braidd yn galed.
Mae'r clwb yn gobeithio y bydd rhybudd 7-niwrnod yn dwyn ffrwyth, a bydd chwaraewr gyda chlwb yn UGC yn ymuno â Port ar fenthyg, neu yn trosglwyddo'n llawn. Hefyd mae Tomi Morgan yn trafod gyda sawl rheolwr a chwaraewr ynglyn â trosglwyddiadau posib. Gan fod Ceri James yn gadael heddiw, i deithio yn Seland Newydd, mae yna angen pendant i gynyddu'r opsiynau yng nghanol y cae.
Bydd yn siom fawr i'r cefnogwyr weld Ceri yn gadael. Mae wedi creu argraff fawr yn ystod ei gyfnod byr ar y Traeth, yn chwaraewr cadarn llawn sgil yng nghanol y cae. Diolch a dymuniadau gorau iddo wrth deithio.

Ceri James There has been a development in the recall of Marc Evans. News of this was released on the Llangefni website yesterday and now Porthmadog FC have responded. They state that an agreement was signed by the Anglesey club that the player would not be recalled until the end of the current season. The matter has now been referred to the FAW for clarification.
Andy Evans' transfer has been completed and despite the hard ground he and the returning Marcus Orlik both trained with the rest of the squad at the Traeth last night.
It is hoped that a 7-day notice for another WPL player will lead to the arrival of another new recruit at the Traeth shortly, either on a permanent basis or possibly on loan. Tomi Morgan is also having on-going discussions with several other managers and players concerning possible moves and with Ceri James leaving today to travel in New Zealand there is an urgent need to strengthen the options in midfield.
Supporters will be disappointed to see Ceri leave as he has created quite an impression at the Traeth during in his short stay with his strong, skilful play in midfield. The club thanks him and wishes him well on his travels.

Paul Roberts ar ei ffordd i'r Drenewydd / Paul Roberts signs for Newtown

Paul Roberts Paul Roberts ydy'r diweddaraf i newid clybiau yn ystod ffenest drosglwyddo mis Ionawr gan arwyddo i glwb y Drenewydd neithiwr. Mae Paul felly yn dod a'i drydydd cyfnod UGC gyda Port i ben ar ôl chwarae 14 (+1) o gemau cynghrair y tymor hwn. Er ei fod yn un o sgorwyr mwyaf cyson y gynghrair gyda 139 o goliau mewn 269 (+59) o gemau nid yw'r goliau wedi llifo iddo y tymor hwn gyda ond 3 gôl yn ei14 gêm. Dymuna'r clwb yn dda i Paul gyda'i glwb newydd.

Paul Roberts became the latest player to make a January transfer move signing last night for Newtown. Paul therefore ends his third WPL spell with his home club having played 14 (+1) games this season. Though he is one of the league's most prolific scorers, with 139 goals in 269 (+ 59) appearances, he has found goals harder to come by this season managing 3 in his 14 appearances. The club wishes him well at Newtown.

Cyfnod Loggs ar fenthyg yn dod i ben / Loggs' loan spell comes to an end

Mae'r ymosodwr Marc Evans, oedd ar fenthyg o Langefni ers dechrau'r tymor, wedi dychwelyd i'r clwb o Ynys Môn. Ers ymuno â Port, mae Loggs wedi sgorio 4 gôl mewn 18 (+6) ymddangosiad ym mhob cystadleuaeth, gydag 1 o'r goliau hynny yn dod yn y gynghrair - o'r smotyn i sicrhau pwynt yn erbyn y Drenewydd yn gêm agoriadol y tymor. Dymunwn yn dda iddo.

Striker Marc Evans, on loan from Llangefni since the start of the season, has returned to the Anglesey club. Since joining Port, Loggs has scored 4 goals from 18 (+6) appearances in all competitions, with 1 of those coming in the league - from the penalty spot to claim a point against Newtown in the opening game of the season. We wish him well.

Popeth i'w drafod ond..... / All up for grabs except.....

Phil Woosnam; www.s4c.co.uk/sgorio Wrth wrando ar Phil Woosnam -yn siarad ar Sgorio nos Lun- mae'n ymddangos fod pob dim ynglyn ag ail wampio'r gynghrair yn agored i drafodaeth, popeth hynny yw heblaw am nifer y clybiau fydd yn y gynghrair!
Dywed Phil Woosnam nad yw'r cynllun 44-gêm wedi'i “osod mewn carreg.” Aeth ymlaen i awgrymu y posibiliad o adael y penderfyniad terfynol tan “yr unfed awr ar ddeg.” Gellir gwneud y penderfyniad wedyn, “O bosib mewn trafodaeth gyda'r 12 clwb terfynol, a hynny ar ddiwedd y tymor.”
“Fy hoff gynllun i mae'n debyg, meddai, “ yw'r hyn sydd yn digwydd yn yr Alban, lle mae'r clybiau yn chwarae eu gilydd deirgwaith cyn rhannu i ddau grwp o chwech.” (ddim yn siwr am y mathemateg yna! Gol.)
Mae o'n rhagweld bydd mater pêl-droed haf yn codi eto ar ôl effaith y tywydd drwg ar rhaglen y gemau yn ddiweddar.
Yn troi wedyn at y posibilrwydd o doriad yng nghanol y tymor dywedodd, “Efallai wnawn edrych ar y cwestiwn o gael toriad o tua 2 fis yng nghanol y gaeaf ac ymestyn y tymor i fis Mai a mis Mehefin. Byddai hyn yn fodd i helpu clybiau sydd yn chwarae yn Ewrop yn y dyfodol, gan nad ydym wedi bod yn llwyddiannus iawn hyd yma, â llawer o'r rheswm am hyn ydy ein bod yn chwarae tu allan i'r tymor. Wrth ymestyn y tymor byddai'n help gyda ffitrwydd.
Barn y wefan: Mae'n ymddangos fod Deakin a Woosnam wedi cael tröedigaeth hwyr i'r syniad o rhannu'r tymor yn ddau. Tybed na fyddai'n well gofyn i banel profiadol edrych ar y mater hwn yn llawn, ac mewn cyd-destun ehangach, gan ddod a chynigion ymlaen sydd wedi'u ymchwilio yn llawn? Mae'n siwr fod y clybiau, erbyn hyn, wedi hen flino ar bolisi sy'n cael ei greu wrth fynd ymlaen.
Cliciwch yma i ddilyn hanes y 10/12 Disglair hyd yn hyn.

According to WPL chairman Phil Woosnam -speaking on Sgorio last night- it appears that more or less everything about the proposed league re-organisation remains open for discussion, all that is apart from the number of clubs in the reformed league!
Phil Woosnam says the 44-fixture plan is not set "in tablets of stone". He went on to outline the likelihood of leaving the decision “until the eleventh hour.” The decision then could then be made, "Probably in consultation with the final 12 at the end of the season.”
“My own preference, he says, “would probably be that which occurs in the Scottish Premier, where they play each other three times and then they split into two groups of six." (not sure how the arithmetic works out there! Ed.)
He sees the issue of summer football being raised once more because of the recent bad weather resulting in so many postponements.
Turning to the possibility of a winter break he says, "We may look at the possibility of having a mid-winter break for say a couple of months and extending the season into May and June. I believe that would be a way of helping our European campaigns in the future because we haven't been very successful to date and a lot of that is due to the fact that it is out of season. But, if we did extend the season, that would help because the players would be match fit."
Website view: Both Deakin and Woosnam appear to have become late converts to the idea of a split season. Would it not be better to look at these proposals in a wider context and by an experienced panel who would bring forward fully worked out proposals for league reorganisation? Are clubs not heartily sick of the way policy is being created on the hoof?

Gohirio Tote Rhagfyr unwaith eto / December Tote delayed again

Unwaith eto bu'n rhaid gohirio tynnu Tôt mis Rhagfyr, a hynny am wythnos arall. Bydd yn cymryd lle ar nos Wener, 15 Ionawr. Gwaith trwsio yn y Ganolfan oedd yn gyfrifol am hyn. Bu'r llawr yn y cyntedd yn cael ei adnewyddu dros y dyddiau diwethaf ond, oherwydd y tywydd oer, roedd angen fwy o amser i'r llawr a osodwyd ddydd Gwener sychu allan. Yn anffodus roedd rhaid canslo'r Bingo hefyd, a hynny am yr ail wythnos yn olynol.

Once more the draw for the December Tote has been delayed for a further week. It will now take place on Friday 15th January. It could not be made on-going work at the Ganolfan. The flooring in the foyer has been replaced during the past few days, and because of the cold weather, extra drying time was required for the latex screed laid on Friday. Unfortunately this meant that the Bingo was cancelled for the second week running.

Trafferthion y rhaglen gemau yn parhau / Fixture chaos mounts

Eira Gohiriwyd y gêm yn erbyn Caersws oherwydd y tywydd, ynghyd â'r rhaglen gyfan o gemau ar gyfer y penwythnos yn UGC. A gyda'r tywydd oer yn parhau efallai nad hyn fydd diwedd y gohiriadau. Eisoes mae clwb y Drenewydd wedi gofyn am estyniad o 9 niwrnod i'r tymor ac mae'n debyg y bydd angen hyn fel isafswm. Mae'n siwr fod ysgrifenyddion gemau yn ddiolchgar nad oes yna raglen o 44 gêm ar gyfer y tymor hwn!
Trefnwyd y gêm yng Nghwpan yr Arfordir yn erbyn Bangor ar gyfer nos Fawrth, 19 Ionawr ar Ffordd Ffarar (os fydd y tywydd yn caniatáu!). Nid oes dyddiad eto ar gyfer y gêm rhwng y ddau glwb yn UGC a ohiriwyd ar 2 Ionawr.

Saturday's game against Caersws together with the entire WPL programme for this weekend has fallen victim to the extreme weather conditions. And with the freeze set to continue, this might not be the last of the postponed games. Newtown have already asked for a 9 day extension to the season and it seems very likely that this will be least needed. Match secretaries must be relieved that they are not faced with a 44 game fixture programme!
The North Wales Coast Cup tie against Bangor has been fixed for Tuesday, 19 January at Farrar Road (weather permitting!!). A date for the postponed WPL game between the two clubs has not yet been decided.

Tomi yn arwyddo blaenwr / Tomi signs a striker

Andy Evans Mae Tomi Morgan wedi symud i gywiro diffyg goliau Port drwy arwyddo Andy Evans, ymosodwr profiadol o Aberystwyth. Mae'r blaenwr 31 oed wedi chwarae 103 (+58) o gemau UGC dros Aberystwyth rhwng 1996 a 2009 gan sgorio 44 o goliau. Yn dilyn trosglwyddiad i Barnsley am swm o £15,000 treuliodd sawl tymor i ffwrdd o Goedlan y Parc cyn dychwelyd yn 2005. Eleni ychydig o gyfleoedd a gafodd -ond 4 ymddangosiad o'r fainc.
Dywedodd Tomi wrth yr Herald, “Mae Andy yn chwaraewr profiadol ac rwy'n ei adnabod yn dda. Bu nifer o glybiau ar ei ôl. Bydd yn fygythiad i unrhyw amddiffyn yn y chwarae agored a hefyd o giciau gosod.” Hefyd mae rhybudd 7 diwrnod i fewn am Osian Jones chwaraewr ganol cae y Bala ac mae Tomi Morgan wedi dweud wrth yr yr Herald ei fod yn gobeithio cwblhau'r trosglwyddiad heddiw (dydd Iau). Ond ar y llaw arall deallwn fod Ceri James, sydd wedi bod yn ddylanwadol yng nghanol cae, ar fin mynd i Seland Newydd am 6 mis.

Tomi Morgan has moved to correct Port's lack of goal power by signing Andy Evans an experienced striker from Aberystwyth. The 31 year old forward has played 103 (+58) times for Aberystwyth between 1996-2009 scoring 44 WPL goals. Following a £15,000 transfer to Barnsley he spent several seasons away from Park Avenue returning in 2005. His opportunities this season however, have been limited to 4 substitute appearances.
Tomi Morgan told the Herald "Andy is an experienced player who I know very well and there have been quite a few clubs chasing him. He will pose a threat to opposition defences, both in open play and from set-pieces." A 7 day notice has been put in for Bala midfielder Osian Jones and Tomi Morgan has told the Herald that he expects to complete the deal today (Thursday). On the down side it is understood that influential midfielder Ceri James leaves shortly for 6 months in New Zealand.
