02/03/11 Anrhydedd arall i Cai a Jamie / Further honours for Cai And Jamie ![]() Y garfan ydy (yn ôl gwefan FAI dim am y garfan ar wefan Ysgolion Cymru!): Michael Dowd, Daniel Gibbons, Jake Parry, Kristian Jenkins, Sam Rodon, Iwan Price, Adam Davies, Troy Greening, CAI JONES, Jonathan Dunn, Ryan Newman Subs: Aaron Biddiscombe, Gethin Maxwell, JAMIE McDAID, Luke Martin Representative honours are coming thick and fast for Cai Jones and Jamie McDaid who during the season have been given the opportunity to develop their game by manager Gareth Parry. On Friday next, 4 March the young players will be in the Welsh Schools U-18 Centenary Shield international squad to take on the Republic of Ireland Schools in Killarney.. Congratulations and best wishes to both players. The full squad (according to FAI website as the information is not available on the Welsh Schools website!)) is: Michael Dowd, Daniel Gibbons, Jake Parry, Kristian Jenkins, Sam Rodon, Iwan Price, Adam Davies, Troy Greening, CAI JONES, Jonathan Dunn, Ryan Newman Subs: Aaron Biddiscombe, Gethin Maxwell, JAMIE McDAID, Luke Martin 02/03/11 Gareth Parry yn rhoi ei farn o’r fainc / Gareth Parry gives a view from the bench ![]() Ond mewn tymor a ddisgrifir ganddo fel “... tymor o ail-adeiladu i Port ar ôl colli ei lle yn yr Uwch Gynghrair, a heb gyfle i ddychwelyd eleni gan nad ydym yn gwneud cais am drwydded ddomestig.” Er waethaf hyn mae’n gweld bendithion hefyd yn y math yma o dymor, “ .. un lle mae pob chwaraewr ‘lleol’ wedi cael cyfle teg i ddangos ei werth a chynnig am le yn y garfan fydd yn gwthio am ddyrchafiad y tymor nesaf.” Wrth edrych at y dyfodol meddai Gareth, “Rwy’n dal fy nwylo fyny a chyfaddef mod i wedi gwneud camgymeriadau yn ystod y tymor, ac yn siwr o wneud mwy cyn ei fod yn gorffen, ond rwy’n sefyll wrth fy mhenderfyniadau gan ddysgu ar hyd y ffordd ac rwy’n hyderus fod yr hyn sy’n digwydd ar y Traeth yn ein rhoi mewn sefyllfa dda ar gyfer ennill y teitl yn nhymor 2011/12.” In his ‘View from the Bench’, in Saturday’s Match Programme, Gareth Parry gives an insight into his thinking about the season so far. He draws attention to one of the major organisational difficulties he has faced by having to operate without a reserve team. It “... has meant” he says “ that the contribution of all 18 members will have been crucial, as was highlighted last Wednesday night when we had only 13 players available with two of those carrying knocks.” But in a season which he describes as ‘... a re-building season for Port having been relegated from the WPL and unable to return this summer as we are not applying for the domestic licence.” Though he also sees certain advantages in this type of season for “... this has been one where every ‘local’ player has been given a fair opportunity to show his quality and stake a claim for a place in our squad for a push for the title next season.” Looking towards next season Gareth says, “I will hold my hands up and admit that I’ve made mistakes during the season and will probably make a few more before it ends, but I stick by my decisions and am learning along the way and am confident that what is happening here at the Traeth will put us in good stead for a ‘Title winning’ season in 2011/12.” 01/03/11 Dyddiad Cwpan Huws Gray / Huws Gray Cup Date Bydd rownd cynderfynol Cwpan Huws Gray rhwng Porthmadog a Bwcle yn cael ei chwarae ar gae’r Belle Vue yn y Rhyl ar nos Fercher 13 Ebrill gyda’r gic gyntaf am 7.30 pm. Ar nos Fercher, 9 Mawrth mae’r gêm gynderfynol arall rhwng Caersws a Chegidfa ar gae Derwyddon Cefn. The semi final of the Huws Gray Cup between Porthmadog and Buckley Town will be played on Rhyl’s Belle Vue Ground on Wednesday, 13 April. The kick off will be at 7.30 pm. The other semi-final, between Caersws and Guilsfield, will be played on 9 March on the Cefn Druids Ground. 01/03/11 Noson Llwddiannus Colegau Cymru / Win for Welsh Colleges Cafodd Colegau Cymru Dan-19 fuddugoliaeth o 3-2 dros Golegau Lloegr yn y gêm a chwaraewyd neithiwr ar Gae Maesdu Llandudno. Disgrifiwyd y gêm a chwaraewyd o flaen torf dda ar fel un agos a llawn cyffro. Nid oes mwy o fanylion i law am y gêm ar hyn o bryd. Roedd dau o chwaraewyr ifanc Porthmadog sef Cai Jones a Jamie McDaid yn g ngharfan Cymru a’r ddau wedi cael eu hyfforddi yn Academi Port. Roedd Iwan Lane, un arall a dderbyniodd hyfforddiant yn Academi Port, hefyd yn y garfan. The Colleges representative fixture between the Welsh Colleges and English Colleges saw Wales win by 3-2. The game has been described as an entertaining one played in front of a good crowd at Maesdu Park, Llandudno. No further match details are available at present. Included in the Wales squad were the two young Porthmadog players Cai Jones and Jamie McDaid both products of the successful Porthmadog Academy. Another Academy product Iwan Lane was a member of the College squad. 27/02/11 Awdit llwyddiannus i’r Academi / Academy has a successful Audit ![]() “Mae’n dda gen i ddweud,” ychwanegodd Eddie, “fod swyddog yr ymddiriedolaeth wedi rhoi marc 100% inni ac wedi argymell bod yr FAW yn rhoi grant llawn inni am y tymor.” Mae’r staff tu ôl y llenni yn haeddu ein diolch a llongyfarchiadau –ond yn anffodus mae yna dro yng nghynffon y llwyddiant hwn. “Er ein bod yn perfformio’n well na’r gweddill o academïau Cymru o ran trefn a gweinyddu,” meddai Eddie, “ni fydd grant arall inni tan fydd Port yn ôl yn yr Uwch Gynghrair.” Nid llwyddiant sy’n bwysig i’r FAW mae’n amlwg. Gwell ganddynt rhoi’r pres i Academi clwb Uwch Gynghrair sy’n perfformio’n wael ar draul academi llwyddiannus o’r tu allan i’r ‘elit’. Does fawr o anogaeth i lwyddo felly. “One big date in our annual calendar has passed successfully,” said Academy Administrator Eddie Blackburn referring to the Welsh Football Trust audit carried out on Sunday, 20th February. “I am pleased to say,” added Eddie, “that the Auditor awarded us 100% and has recommended to the FAW that we receive a full grant for this season.” The Academy backroom staff deserves our thanks and congratulations -though unfortunately there is a serious downside to this story of success. “Although we are performing better than all other Welsh Academies in administration and organisation” said Eddie, “this is the last funding we will receive until Porthmadog get back into the WPL.” The proof of the pudding as they say .... but evidently not with the FAW. A poorly performing WPL Club Academy will get the grant at the expense of a successful academy which lies outside the ’elite’. Not much of an incentive to succeed there! 27/02/11 Enillwyr y Tôt Misol a’r Draw Wythnosol / Monthly Tote and Weekly Draw winners Tôt Misol Y rhifau lwcus yn Tôt mis Chwefror, Clwb Cymdeithasol CPD Porthmadog, ydy 17 a 23. Yn cynorthwyo Marc fydd Jason Perry, cyn chwaraewr Cymru a Chaerdydd. Congratulations to Cai Jones and Jamie McDaid two of Porthmadog’s talented youngsters have been selected for the Welsh Colleges who will be playing an international Under-19 match against the English Colleges. The game will be played next Monday evening, 28 February at Maesdu Park, Llandudno. Kick off will be at 7pm. The Welsh Colleges will be coached by former Porthmadog player Marc Lloyd Williams, the Welsh Premier League's all-time record goalscorer. Assisting Marc will be Jason Perry former Wales and Cardiff City player. 24/02/11 Rhagolwg: v Bwcle / Preview: v Buckley Town Noddwr: Contractwyr RS Jones ![]() Y tro diwethaf i’r ddau gyfarfod oedd ar Globe Way yn ôl ym mis Awst pan enillodd Bwcle o 2-0 diolch i berfformiad siomedig Port ar y dydd. Bydd Port yn awyddus iawn i osgoi y dwbl. Bu sgorio yn broblem i’r ddau glwb eleni gyda Port yn sgorio 25 gol mewn 17 gêm a Bwcle 28 mewn 19 gêm. O flaen y gol roedd problem Port ddydd Sadwrn diwethaf gan adael y Trallwng i sicrhau tri phwynt er waethaf creu digon o gyfleoedd i ennill y gêm yn gyfforddus. Roedd hyn yn wir hefyd am y gêm gwpan yn erbyn Rhuthun neithiwr pan fu’n rhaid aros tan 83 munud, a hynny er waethaf dominyddu’r gêm am rhan helaeth o’r 90 munud, cyn sgoriodd Paul Roberts y gol holl bwysig i fynd a Port drwodd i’r rownd cynderfynol. Bydd y ddau glwb yn cyfarfod eto yn rownd cynderfynol Cwpan Huws Gray. Match Sponsors: R S Jones Contractors Buckley have recorded only one win in their last five games but that proved to be one of the season’s biggest shocks with a 2-1 victory over Rhyl at the Belle Vue. This is the only home defeat suffered by Rhyl this season. With Port having slipped back to 9th place, following Rhos Aelwyd’s win over Buckley last Tuesday night, and Buckley themselves, two places lower and five points behind, in 11th spot, both clubs will be looking for points to move them closer to the top six. The two clubs last met at Globe Way back in August when a disappointing Port performance allowed Buckley to run out winners by 2-0. Port will be eager therefore to avoid a double. Neither side have been free scoring with Port scoring 25 goals in 17 games and Buckley netting 28 in 19 games. Failure to take chances was once again Port’s problem last Saturday, allowing Welshpool to take the three points, when enough good chances were created to have won the game comfortably. This was true also of the League Cup win over Ruthin where despite dominating the game for most of the 90 minutes they were unable to make sure of their entry to the semi-final until the 83rd minute when Paul Roberts scored the second goal. The two clubs will also meet again in the semi-final of the Huws Gray Cup. 22/02/11 Cymorth i gadw ystadegau gêm / Assistance needed with match stats ![]() Meddai Gareth, “ Un agwedd o bêl-droed sy’n tyfu’n gyflym ydy’r dechnoleg o ddadansoddi perfformiad.” Mae’n rhoi’r gêm yn Cei Conna fel engrhaifft lle roedd parotoadau’r clwb wedi cael hwb o ffilm a wnaed gan Darren Gowans o’r gem adref yn erbyn yr un clwb. “Roedd hyn yn caniatáu imi edrych ar y gêm drosodd a throsodd,” meddai Gareth, “i mi weld cryfderau a gwendidau eu gêm. Er mae’r hogiau oedd yn bennaf gyfrifol am ein llwyddiant carwn feddwl fod y paratoadau ymlaen llaw hefyd wedi cyfrannu at ennill y tri phwynt.” Os hoffech gyfrannu gyda’r math yma o waith cysylltwch a Gareth neu Campbell i lawr ar y Traeth. Gareth Parry is looking for a budding statistician “ .. someone who would have an interest in assisting us with analysing our opponents play.” He jokingly adds that what is needed is “.... a budding Andy Gray with an open mind!” He says, “One aspect of football that is growng at a rapid pace is the technology of performance analysis.” He sights the Connah’s Quay game where preparation was aided by a film made by Darren Gowans of the home defeat against the same club. “This allowed me,” says Gareth Parry, “to look at the game over and over again to identify the strengths and weaknesses in their game. Though the majority of our success was down to the lads, I would like to think that the preparation went some way to achieving the three points.” If you feel you could contribute in this way speak to Gareth or Campbell down at the Traeth. 21/02/11 Angen i’r FAW a’r HGA wneud safiad cadarn / FAW and HGA should take a firm stance ![]() “Mae’n achos poen na fu unrhyw gyhoeddiad gan yr FAW ar effeithiau posib y symud (i chwarae yn yr haf). Mae angen i’r FAW edrych ar y darlun ehangach. Os fydd y Deuddeg Disglair yn derbyn yr egwyddor fedrai ddim gweld sut y medr yr FAW ganiatau iddo ddigwydd, heb gymryd ystyrieth o’r effaith ar weddill pêl-droed yng Nghymru. Medraf weld clybiau yn mynd a’r mater i’r llysoedd pe byddai’r newid yma yn ei rhwystro rhag cael dyrchafiad. Yr un sydd mwyaf o blaid y newid ydy John Deakin sydd yng ngyflogaeth yr FAW ac yn dal i fod yn Ysgrifennydd rhan amser y Gynghrair. Ai dros ei hun mae o’n siarad neu ar ran yr FAW neu y Gynghrair? Mae’r Cymru Alliance i gyfarfod yr FAW ar ddau achlysur yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf. Un o’r eitemau ar yr agenda ydy’r Pyramid. Fydd yna ddim system byramid os aiff y polisi hwn drwodd ac yn siwr dylai’r rhai sydd yn ein cynrychioli ni (clybiau’r Cymru Alliance) godi eu llais yn glir ac yn ddiamwys yn erbyn y cynigion. Dylent hefyd anog yr FAW i roi eu barn am y ffordd ymlaen, yn lle eistedd ar eu dwylo ac aros i weld beth sy’n datblygu. Byddai datganiad clir ganddynt yn erbyn y cynnig yn ddigon i roi’r ergyd farwol iddo. Yn sicr mae ganddynt y pwer i wneud a dod allan yn erbyn cynnig sydd yn mynd yn erbyn pob peth sydd yng nghlwm yn y syniad o byramid. The ‘Talking Point’ author has returned to the topic of summer football in the 19 February match programme and turned his attention to the role the FAW and HGA should play. “It is somewhat worrying that no pronouncement on the implications of the possible move (to summer football) has been made by the FAW who must surely take the bigger picture into consideration. Even if the Super 12 do accept the principle I cannot see how the FAW can allow it to be implemented when the ramifications for the rest of football in the principality is taken into consideration. I can even see clubs taking the matter to the courts should their path to promotion be blocked by this change. Of course the main proponent of the change is an FAW employee, John Deakin, who remains the League Secretary on a part time basis. Is he talking for himself, the FAW or the League? The Cymru Alliance is due to have two meetings with the FAW in coming weeks. One of the agenda items is the pyramid system. There will be no pyramid system if this proposal goes through and surely those attending the meeting on behalf of this league (Cymru Alliance) must make sure that they voice clear and unequivocal opposition to the proposals. They should also urge the FAW to come out and say what they believe to be the way forward and not merely sit on their hands to wait and see. A strong pronouncement by them against the proposal would kill it stone dead They certainly have the power to do so because the proposal goes against every concept ingrained in the regulations of the pyramid system.” 21/02/11 Rhagolwg: v Rhuthun / Preview: v Ruthin Noddwr: Meirion Evans Terfynau Pan wnewch ddisgyn o’ch ceffyl y cyngor gorau ydy neidio ’nol i’r cyfrwy’n syth bin. Yn ffodus i Port bydd yna gyfle buan nos Fercher i wneud hynny a’r gobaith o ail adrodd y math o chwarae a gafwyd ar Lannau Dyfrdwy yn hytrach na’r siom a gafwyd pnawn Sadwrn. Wedi dweud hynny gwnaeth fawr ddim rhedeg yn esmwyth ddydd Sadwrn, gyda blerwch amddiffynol a penderfyniad amheus yn rhoi mantais i’r Trallwng a hwy yn ei amddiffyn yn llwyddianus. Pe byddai ergyd wych Gareth Parry wedi mynd i’r rhwyd o’r postyn ac ergyd Carl Owen dwy funud yn hwyrach ’di mynd tu fewn i’r postyn yn lle modfeddi tu allan a phe byddai Port wedi cymryd y cyfleoedd da eraill medrai’r canlyniad wedi bod yn wahanol iawn. A ni ar ddiwedd Chwefror cawn y gêm gystadleuol gyntaf o’r tymor i’w chwarae ar y Traeth dan y llif oleuadau! Beth ydy pwynt gwella safon y goleuadau heb y cyfle i’w defnyddio? Bydd y gêm yng Nghwpan y Gynghrair, a ohriwyd ddwywaith, yn cychwyn am 7.30 pm. Bydd yr enillwyr yn chwarae Bwcle yn rownd cynderfynol y gystadleuaeth. Bellach mae’r fuddugoliaeth dros Fflint yn y rownd gyntaf i weld yn bell, bell yn ôl. Sicrhaodd Rhuthun fuddugoliaeth dda dros Llangefni yn y y rownd gyntaf gyda Kevin Garland yn sgorio hat tric ond cymysglyd bu’r tymor iddynt yn gyffredinol. Y Sadwrn diwethaf sgoriodd Caersws ddwywaith yn y 7 munud olaf i sicrhau buddugoliaeth o 4-2 dros Rhuthun.Un o’r sgorwyr i Rhuthun oedd cyn chwaraewr Port, Aden Shannon. Bydd y ddau glwb yn gweld y gwpan hon yn gyfle i ennill rhywbeth,a felly gallem gael gêm gystadleuol. Match Sponsor: Meirion Evans Terfynau If you fall off your horse then the best advice is to get back on as soon as possible. Fortunately for Port they have an early opportunity on Wednesday to remount in the hope of reproducing the form shown at Deeside rather than the disappontment of Saturday. Having said that the ball did not run for Port on Saturday, a defensive muddle and a controversial decision, gave Welshpool a lead they could determinedly defend. Had Gareth Parry’s super shot bounced off the post into the net and had Carl Owen’s shot, two minutes later, gone inside the post instead of inches outside and had other good second half opportunities been taken then we could have had a very different result. Here we are in mid February and this League Cup-tie is the first competitive midweek fixture held at the Traeth this season! What is the point of improving floodlights when there is no opportunity to use them? The twice postponed 2nd Round tie against Ruthin will kick off at 7.30 pm. The winners will meet Buckley in the semi-final. By now the first round win over Flint back seems a very long time ago. Ruthin gained a good win over Llangefni in the last round with Kevin Garland scoring a hat trick but in general it has been a very inconsistent season for them. Last Saturday two Caersws goals in the last 7 minutes saw them go down 4-2 with former Port player Aden Shannon scoring one for Ruthin. Both sides will see this competition as an opportunity to win something this season, so we can expect a competitive game. 17/02/11 Angen mawr am gymorth ar y Traeth / Help urgently needed at the Traeth Gyda’r Academi yn chwarae ar y Traeth nos Wener a tair gêm arall mewn cyfnod o 7 diwrnod mae angen gwirioneddol am gymorth. Gofynnir i gynorthwywyr ddod lawr i’r Traeth i helpu drwsio’r cae ar ôl y gemau. Os medrwch gynnig help cysylltwch â Phil Jones ar 07816 213188 With an Academy game on Friday and three games in 7 days at Y Traeth your help is urgently required. Helpers are asked to come down to help repair the pitch after games. Anyone willing to assist is asked to contact Phil Jones on 07816 213188 17/02/11 Rhagolwg: v Y Trallwng / Preview: v Welshpool ![]() Ar ôl perfformiad arbennig yn Stadiwm Glannau Dyfrdwy ddydd Sadwrn diwethaf bydd y disgwyliadau yn uchel wrth wynebu’r Trallwng ddydd Sadwrn yma yn y gyntaf o dair gêm yn olynol ar y Traeth . Bydd yna gur pen i Gareth Parry wrth ddewis y tîm –a Carl yn ôl hefyd! Er fod problemau’r clwb o’r canolbarth wedi cael cryn sylw, ac er ei bod ar waelod y gynghrair gall Port ddisgwyl gêm anodd. Ers apwyntio Chris Herbert i sedd y rheolwr yn Maesydre bu newid mawr iawn o rhan personél ac hefyd o rhan perfformiad. Ymysg y chwaraewyr mae Herbert wedi denu i Maesydre mae cyn chwaraewr Port John Keegan a hefyd chwaraewyr a phrofiad, o’i gyn glwb Cei Conna, sef Wes Kilgannon a Gary Pinch. Mae ganddynt hefyd flaenwr newydd peryglus yn Nathan Mabletoft a ymunodd o Newton FC Pnawn Sadwrn diwethaf sicrhaodd y Trallwng ei trydedd buddugoliaeth o’r tymor yn curo Llandudno o 3-0. Y Sadwrn cynt brwydrodd y clwb yn erbyn Cei Conna, ac fel Port roeddent 2-1 ar y blaen am gyfnod hir, ond yn wahanol wedyn daeth Cei Conna yn ôl i’w curo o 3-2. Mae yna ddigon o dystiolaeth felly nad pêl-droed gwaelod y tabl fydd y Trallwng yn chwarae ddydd Sadwrn ar y Traeth. a bydd angen eu trin gyda’r un parch a rhoddwyd i Cei Conna. Os wnawn hyn a chwarae i’r un safon a wnaethom ar Lannau Dyfrdwy bydd yna obaith da i fynd a’r rhediad o fuddugoliaethau i dair. Ar ôl chwarae’n gampus mae’r hogiau yn haeddu’ch cefnogaeth ddydd Sadwrn. Welwn ni chi yna! Match Sponsors: Kim & Richard Payne Stourbridge Following the excellent performance at the Deeside Stadium last Saturday there will be high expectations ahead of the Welshpool visit on Saturday in the first of three consecutive home games.. Gareth Parry faces a severe selection headache- and Carl’s back too! Though the mid-Wales club’s problems have been well documented and despite their position at the bottom of the table Port can expect a difficult game. Since his appointment to the manager’s seat at Maesydre Chris Herbert has made radical changes in personnel and also to the standard of performance. Amongst the players Herbert has brought to the club is former Port defender John Keegan and also experienced former team mates, Wes Kilgannon and Gary Pinch. He has also found a dangerous striker in Nathan Mabletoft from Newton FC. Last Saturday Welshpool gained their third win of the season defeating Llandudno 3-0. The previous week they gave Connah’s Quay a fright as they like Port held a 2-1 advantage but unlike Port they allowed the Nomads to fight back for a 3-2 win. But that provides sufficient evidence that a bottom of the table performance is not what is expected on Saturday and Welshpool will have to be treated with the same respect as Connah’s Quay. If we do this, and perform to the same standard as we did on Deeside, there is a good chance that we can extend our run of victories to three. The lads, after such a fine performance, deserve your support on Saturday. See you at the Traeth! 16/02/11 Swyddogion HGA i gyfarfod yr FAW / HGA officials to meet FAW ![]() 1.Cyfarfod ar y cyd rhwng y Cynghreiriau Lefel Un a Lefel Dau 2.Cyfarfod rhwng yr FAW a’r Cynghreiriau a Chysylltiad Uniongyrchol a’r Cymdeithasau Ardal. Ymysg yr eitemau i’w trafod fydd: Bydd yna groeso gan lawer i’r newyddion hwn. Mae sefyllfa Pêl-droed Ail Dîm yn un sydd angen sylw brys. Bu yn broblem ers i’r FAW benderfynu gwrthod lle i Ail Dimau yn rhan uchaf y Pyramid, heb wneud darpariaeth arall. Rhwystrwyd Port rhag chwarae, y tymor yma, yn Uwch Gynghrair Ail Dimoedd Clwyd –yr unig gynghrair addas yn y gogledd –oherwydd gwleidyddiaeth pitw. Hyn rhwystrodd Port rhag gwneud cais am Drwydded Ddomestig eleni. Dylai Cynghrair Ail Dimau o safon addas i ddatblygu chwaraewyr ifanc ac i roi ymarfer i chwaraewyr carfan fod ar gael i’r holl glybiau. The FAW have invited the Huws Gray Alliance to two meetings:- 1. Joint Liaison Meeting between the Level One and Level Two Leagues 2. FAW Meeting with Directly Affiliated Leagues and Area Associations Amongst the items included on the agenda are: This news will be welcomed by many. The need to tackle the Reserve Football situation is an especially urgent one. It has been a problem since the FAW decided to exclude Reserve teams from the upper part of the Pyramid without making alternative arrangements. Petty politics prevented Port playing in the Clwyd Premier Reserve League –the only suitable reserve league in the north- this season. It also led to Port’s inability to make a Domestic Licence application this season. A reserve league of a suitable standard to develop young players and to give squad players match practice must be made available to all clubs. 15/02/11 Ymgyrch yn erbyn Pêl-droed Haf / Campaign Against Summer Football ![]() Mae Ethan Jones, a gychwynnodd yr ymgyrch, yn dweud, “Pwrpas yr ymgyrch ydy dangos fod nifer fawr o gefnogwyr pêl-droed yng Nghymru yn erbyn y cynigion. Bydd y cynlluniau ar gyfer Pêl-droed Haf yn niweidiol iawn i’r Pyramid yng Nghymru gan fydd yn gwneud dyrchafu/gostwng rhwng yr Uwch Gynghrair a gweddill y Pyramid yn ymarferol amhosib – gan fod y cynlluniau OND yn cynnig i’r Uwch Gynghrair newid i’r haf, ac felly yn rhwystro uchelgais clybiau’r Pyramid i sicrhau dyrchafiad. Prin y gellir ddadlau fod hyn yn newid da i glybiau’r Pyramid a credaf ei bod yn bwysig i chi sy’n ymweld â’r wefan hon i wybod amdano.” Mae’r farn yma yn ffitio’n daclus gyda’r un a fynegwyd yn yr erthygl ‘Talking Point’ a welir ar y wefan hon ac sydd erbyn hyn wedi derbyn sylw ehangach ac ar hyn o bryd yn brif erthygl yn ‘Features’ ar wefan welsh-premier. Medrwch ddarllen dadleuon yr ‘Ymgyrch’ yn erbyn yr hyn sydd yn cael ei gynnig, a hefyd ymuno â’r ymgyrch drwy glicio yma. Many of you will be aware of the Facebook ‘Campaign Against Summer Football’ which was launched a few days ago and is already gathering strong support amongst fans. Ethan Jones, who initiated the campaign, says, “The purpose of the campaign is to show that a large number of Welsh football fans are against the proposals. The summer football plans will be very damaging to the Welsh Pyramid system as promotion/relegation between the Welsh Premier and the Welsh Pyramid will be made practically impossible - as the Summer Football plans only propose the Welsh Premier switching to Summer Football thus blocking any promotion aspirations for all Welsh Pyramid clubs. Hardly a good move for Welsh Football and I think it is imperative that those who visit this website know about it.” This view sits well with those expressed in the ‘Talking Point’ article which can be found on this website. The article has gained wider attention and is currently the main article in the features section on thw welsh-premier website. You can read the campaign's arguments against the proposals, and also join the campaign by clicking here. |
