Craig yn gwrthod cuddio / Paps refuses to hide

Yn dilyn y profiad ysgytwol yn Gresffordd mae Craig Papirnyk yn gwrthod cuddio wrth ddweud ei ddeud mewn cyfweliad gyda Dylan Elis.
Mae Craig yn derbyn cyfrifoldeb ond mae ei hyder yn ei garfan yn aros yn gry’. Dydy o ddim am wneud esgusodion ond mae’n ymddiheurio i’r cefnogwyr.

Ymweliad â Prestatyn / Away at Prestatyn

Bu’n wythnos anodd ar Y Traeth. Hyd yn oed mewn tymor siomedig, roedd yna ddim i’n paratoi am y fath ganlyniad. Beth ddigwyddodd i’r amddffyn a gadwodd 13 llechen lân llynedd oedd y cwestiwn ar ein gwefusau. Dyma’r adeg felly i bawb sefyll yn gadarn a brwydro’u cornel.
Yn dilyn y golled pnawn Sadwrn nid ymweliad â Gerddi Bastion fyddai ucha’ ar y rhestr o hoff lefydd i ymweld â hwy. Ond, os wnawn edrych dros ysgwydd i rhyw 4 mis yn ôl i fuddugoliaeth hwyr Prestatyn o 2-1, roedd yr arwyddion ddim yn dda yr adeg honno chwaith â Port wedi colli o 4-1 yn Llandudno. Ond pan ddaeth Prestatyn i’r Traeth cafwyd berfformiad llawn cymeriad gyda’r canlyniad yn y fantol tan y penderfyniad dadleuol (a welwyd ar y teledu) gyda Port i lawr i ddeg dyn a 30 munud yn weddill. Wedi’r penderfyniad hwn rhwydodd Prestatyn ddwywaith. Anghysondeb sydd wedi bod wrth wraidd problemau Port y tymor hwn ond mae’n rhaid bod bywyd ar ôl Gresffordd!
Weth edrych ar y tabl does ond un canlyniad posib’; buddugoliaeth gyfforddus i’r clwb ar y brig – wedi colli ond 2 gêm drwy’r tymor. Bydd hwn yn fynydd i ddrihgo a dim ond perfformiad o’r safon ucha’ wnaiff y tro. 11 gêm yn weddill..C’mon Port!!
Darllenwch asesiad Dean Jones o dymor Port hyd yma. northwaleschronicle.co.uk

It has been a tough week at the Traeth. Even in this difficult season there had been nothing to prepare any of us for such a result. Whatever became of a defence which kept 13 clean sheets last season we asked? We must hope that the old adage …when the going get’s tough the tough ….. will apply on Saturday.
Following such a defeat, Bastion Gardens would not be high on the list of recommended places to visit. But if we rewind some 4 months to Prestatyn’s narrow 2-1 win over Port, the omens were not promising that day either, as the previous week Port had suffered a depressing 4-1 defeat at Llandudno. But when Prestatyn came to the Traeth there was a hugely improved performance with the result hinging on a controversial refereeing decision (and seen on TV) which reduced Port to 10 men for the last 30 minutes. Both Prestatyn goals came after this decision. Inconsistency has been at the heart of Port’s problems this season but there must be life after Gresford!
The form book says a comfortable win for the runaway league leaders. Just two defeats all season says it all. This will be a mountain to climb and only a top, top performance will do. 11 games left C’mon Port.

Paps yn curo’r llinell derfyn / Some deadline day business done !!

Jamie McDaidRichard Harvey Isod gweler sylwadau Craig Papirnyk wrth iddo gyhoeddi dau ychwanegiad hwyr i’w garfan. Bydd Richard Harvey, un o gyfarwyddwyr newydd y clwb, yn ail gydio yn y chwarae yn gyfar i Paul Pritchard. Hefyd bydd Jamie McDaid yn dychwelyd i’r Traeth.

Craig Papirnyk comments on two late additions to his squad. Recently appointed as a club director, Richard Harvey will now be coming out of retirement to provide cover for Paul Pritchard and another former player Jamie McDaid returns.

Craig says “Paul will be absent for a few games before the end of the season and we all know Harvey and the quality he has, Rich has been training for a couple of months for us now and looking as sharp as ever.”
“I have also today signed Jamie McDaid from Llandudno FC. Jamie is another who is familiar to most around the north Wales football scene, on his day Jamie has great attacking attributes and will be an asset for us in the remaining games this season. Jamie will come in and bolster the numbers within the squad.
“Welcome back to both players who know the squad and club well.
“It has been a busy month for us recruiting and strengthening the squad, we have 12 massive games now until the end of the season where we need to pick up as many points as we can. i am confident in the ability this team has but we need to make it happen now as a group.”

Rhys Alun yn gadael / Rhys Alun departs

Rhys Alun Mae Rhys Alun wedi penderfynu gadael y clwb ac ail ymuno gyda Nantlle Fêl er mwyn cael chwarae yn fwy rheolaidd. Diolch i Rhys a phob lwc at y dyfodol. Isod gweler sylwadau Craig Papirnyk.

Rhys Alun has decided to leave the club and re-join Nantlle Vale. As he wishes Rhys all the best for the future Craig Papirnyk says:

“Rhys is a great lad and wants to play more football. I am sad to see him leave, he’s got lots of quality and we’ve seen glimpses of that, particularly down in Pen Y bont. However, he is a young player that just wants to be playing football week in week out and I completely understand his decision to want to go and do that. All the best and good luck Rhys.”

Taith i Gresffordd / Gresford on Saturday. Cic gynta / Kick off 2pm

Gresffordd Bydd y frwydr i oroesi yn parhau pnawn Sadwrn, wrth i Port yn ôl yr ystrydeb, deithio i Gresffordd am y gynta’ o 12 Rownd Derfynnol. Yn glynnu at yr ystradebau bydd hefyd yn gêm 6 phwynt. Diolch i’w rhediad da diweddar mae’r clwb o Wrecsam wedi agor bwlch o 9 pwynt dros Port a byddai buddugoliaeth pnawn Sadwrn yn mynd ymhell iawn at sicrhau eu diogelwch. Ond byddai 3 phwynt i Port ac ennill y gêm mewn llaw sydd ganddynt yn newid y sefyllfa yn arw. Hefyd, mae’n rhaid i Gresffordd ymweld â’r Traeth cyn ddiwedd y tymor. Felly pob dim i gystadlu amdano pnawn Sadwrn. Ond mae’r sefyllfa yn pwysleisio’r angen am ennill gêmau gan fod rhai cyfartal mewn gêmau allweddol yn annigonol.
Wrth i Shaun Cavanagh ddychwelyd i Port mae’n ein hatgoffa o’n hymweliad diwetha’ â Clappers Lane, pan rhwydodd Shaun o’r smotyn yn hwyr yn y gêm, a sicrhau’r fuddugoliaeth o 1-0. C’mon Port!!

The battle for survival continues on Saturday, when Port travel to take on Gresford Athletic in the first of what the cliché reminds us are 12 Cup Finals. Sticking with the clichés, it is also a 6 pointer! Thanks to good recent form the Wrexham club have opened a 9-point gap over Port and a win on Saturday would go a long way to ensure their safety. But 3pts for Port and a win in the game they have in hand alters the picture considerably. Also, we have yet to play Gresford at the Traeth so it is all to play for on Saturday. This scenario also underlines the need for victories, draws now, in key fixtures with survival rivals, will not be enough.
The return of Shaun Cavanagh to the club, reminds us of our last visit to Clappers Lane, when Shaun secured the 3 pts for Port with an 87th minute penalty for a 1-0 win. C’mon Port!!

Shaun Cavanagh yn dychwelyd / Shaun Cavanagh returns.

Shaun Cavanagh Heddiw cyhoeddodd Craig Papirnyk fod prif sgoriwr llynedd, Shaun Cavanagh, yn ail ymuno â Port o Gaernarfon. Isod gweler sylwadau Craig wrth iddo groesawu Shaun yn ôl.

Craig Papirnyk has further strengthened his squad and speaking today he said:

“It is with great pleasure that I can announce Shaun Cavanagh has returned to the club.
“Shaun was last season’s top scorer and was a player in form, which naturally attracted attention and in the summer he was given an opportunity to play at a higher standard and moved to Caernarfon. Unfortunately it hasn’t worked out for him like he would’ve wished but that is now our gain.
“He is hungrier than ever and can’t wait to get back playing for the club again, welcome back Cav!
“He will further enhance our attacking options, along with John, Josh and Cai we now have one of the best option upfront in the league.
“We will need them all now until the end of the season that is for sure. Come on Port !”

Manager Craig Papirnyk has wished Ilan ap Gareth well, as the player has taken the decision to join Rhyl FC. Ilan joined Port from Cefn Druids last summer after a period with the club on loan. Thanks for your efforts for club.
Mel McGinnes, another who joined Port last summer, will also be leaving the club. Craig Papirnyk said, “It hasn’t worked out in the way Mel would’ve liked and he needs to now go and find more regular football.

Craig has added a further player to his squad after a busy start to the January transfer window, with the news that Cai Jones will be returning from Caernarfon. Here is what Craig Papirnyk had to say about Cai'r return:
