John a Telor yn gadael / John and Telor to leave

Telor Williams Cadarnhaodd Craig Papirnyk heddiw fod John Littlemore a Telor Williams i adael y clwb.
Dywedodd Craig am John, “Mae’n berson diymhongar a gonest ond yn anffodus nid yw wedi gweithio allan iddo yma ar Y Traeth.”
Bydd Telor yn ymuno â CPD Caernarfon.
Meddai Craig am Telor. “Mae’n hogyn grêt efo personoliaeth dda. Doeddwn i ddim am ei weld yn gadael, yn 18 oed mae ganddo gymaint o addewid, a heb amheuaeth wnaiff ddatblygu i fod yn chwaraewr da iawn wrth iddo aeddfedu. Rwy’n gobeithio y caiff y cyfle i brofi ei hun yn y Cymru Premier.”
Diolchodd Craig i’r ddau am eu cyfnod ar Y Traeth gan ychwanegu, “Rwy’ am ddymuno pob lwc i’r ddau at y dyfodol, bu’r ddau yn grêt i weithio efo nhw.”

John Littlemore Manager Craig Papirnyk has confirmed that John Littlemore and Telor Williams have left the club.
Craig said of John, “He is a very humble and honest person but unfortunately it has not worked out for him here at Port.”
Telor Williams will be leaving to join Caernarfon FC.
Craig said of Telor, “He is a great lad who has a really good personality. i did not want to lose Telor as at 18yrs old he has so much potential and i have no doubts that he will become a very good player as he develops and comes of age. I hope he gets the oppertunity to prove himself at Caernarfon at the WPL level.”
He thanked both players for their time at the club and added “I would like to wish them both the best of luck in the future they have both been great to work with.”

Eddie Blackburn - Mae Eddie wedi bod yn dilyn y clwb ers blynyddoedd maith ac, er fod ei iechyd ddim ar ei orau ar y funud, mae o’n dal i fynnu dod i bob gêm beth bynnag y tywydd. Ni fysa unrhyw gêm yr un fath heb fod Eddie yn y cefndir yn rhoi ei sylwada’ di ri ar y dyfarnwr neu rheolwr ein gwrthwynebwyr! Mi ‘roedd Eddie hefyd yn Weinyddwr yr Academi am beth amser, swydd yr oedd wrth ei fodd yn ei wneud. Diolch Eddie.
Enid Owen - Mae pawb yn nabod Enid wrth gwrs, am ei bod yn Y Traeth mwy na mae hi adra! Diolch Enid.

Meirion Parry - mae Meirion yn rhan o’r clwb ers blynyddoedd maith ac, ynghyd â’r ddau fab, Carwyn a Dilwyn , yn gefnogwr rheolaidd ac amlwg wrth y giat yn Y Traeth. Mae y teulu wedi bod yn gyfrifol hefyd am olchi’r kit chwarae ar ôl pob gêm am flynyddoedd a Rhian yn diawlio os oedda ni’n prynu kit efo llawer o wyn yno fo! Mae Meirion hefyd wrth gwrs wedi bod yn Ysgrifennydd Gêmau am gyfnod hir iawn. Diolch Meirion.
Robin Williams , Heol Fadog - mae Robin wedi bod yn gefnogwr brwd a ffyddlon ar hyd ei oes ac wedi llenwi amryw o swyddi o fewn y clwb. Diolch Robin
Meirion Evans, Terfyna’ - wel dyma inni gymeriad! Un arall sy’n ffyddlon dros ben i’r clwb ac yn mynychu pob gêm (heblaw bod na adloniant ymlaen yn Mart Bryncir!) . Mae parodrwydd Meirion i neud unrhyw beth y gall i helpu’r clwb yn adlewyrchiad o’r math o glwb yr ydym. Da ni wrth ein bodda’ yn tynnu ei goes ar y siwrneoedd oddi cartra’ a mae na hwyl a chyfeillgarwch mawr i’w gael. Mae o hefyd yn eithriadol o ffeind i ni fel clwb. Diolch Meirion.
Gareth Williams, - mae Gareth, ac yn wir y teulu oll, wedi bod yn deyrngar a gweithgar iawn dros y 25 mlynedd ddwetha ac yn gyfrifol am sefydlu a rhedeg y wefan ac mae adroddiada’ Gareth o bob gêm yn gywir, diduedd a chwedlonol ! Diolch Gareth.
Mawr iawn yw ein dyled i chi gyd a diolch o galon unwaith eto.
Phil Jones

As you are all aware by now, the club has been through a very difficult time of late and there have been times when it feels as though the whole world was against us! But we are still here and growing stronger every day that passes, thanks to our club ‘FAMILY’. To recognise this, the Board has named our own new year’s honours list.
The friends named below have been named as club Vice-Presidents.
Eddie Blackburn -Eddie has supported the club for many, many years, and though he has not enjoyed the best of health lately, he still insists on attending each game no matter the weather. No game would be complete without Eddie constantly commenting in the background on the referee or the opposition manager. For many years Eddie was the Academy Administrator, a role he thoroughly enjoyed. Thanks Eddie.
Enid Owen -Enid is known to all of course as she spends more time at the Traeth than she does in her own home. She helps at the Bingo on Monday and Friday evenings, she also takes charge of the Weekly Draw, countless coffee evenings, raffles, assists behind the bar at home matches and much, much more. Thanks Enid.
Ian Foulkes, – Ian is one of those who works quietly and without fuss behind the scenes. He is a keen supporter who rarely misses a game and is only too ready to assist with any task. He is also our Bingo Caller on Monday and Friday evenings. Thanks Ian.
Meirion Parry -Meirion has been a part of the club over many, many years, together with his sons Carwyn and Dilwyn, a regular supporter, he can be found near the gate on matchdays. The family have for years looked after, and washed the kit following each game, with Rhian having a few choice words to say if the club bought kit with too much white in it!! Meirion has of course served as match Secretary over a lengthy period. Thanks Meirion.
Robin Williams Heol Fadog – Robin has been a keen and faithful supporter of the club throughout his life and has filled a variety of roles within the club. His son Huw has lived in the USA for many years but he maintains his connection with the club through his father and has made generous financial contributions each year. Thanks Robin.
Meirion Evans – Terfynnau -what a character! Another of the club faithful who attends every game (that is unless there is better entertainment at the Bryncir Mart!). His willingness to do all that he can to help the club is a reflection of the type of club we are. We all enjoy some leg pulling on away journeys when the friendship and fun takes over. Meirion has been very generous to the club over the years. Thanks Meirion.
Gareth Williams -Gareth and indeed all the family, have been loyal supporters contributing a great deal to the club over a period of 25 years. They established the club website and continue running it. Gareth’s fabled match reports have always been accurate and fair. Thanks Gareth.
We are greatly indebted to you all, a heartfelt thanks again.

Enwi Llywydd ac Is-gadeirydd newydd / New President and Vice-Chairman named

Dylan Rees Mae’r Bwrdd hefyd wedi gwneud dau benderfyniad pwysig dros y penwythnos sydd yn ychwanegu at gyfrifoldebau Chris Jones a Dylan Rees.
Meddai’r Cadeirydd Phil Jones,”Hoffwn ddatgan ein penderfyniad i roi y swydd o Is Gadeirydd i Chris Jones. Er fod Chris ond newydd ymuno â’r bwrdd, mae yn barod wedi dangos ei frwdfrydedd a’i allu i symud petha’ ymlaen - mae’n dda ei gael o !
“Yn ola’ ond nid y lleia pwysig - ers colli yr ardderchog Bill Pike, rhai blynyddoedd yn ôl, yr ydym wedi bod heb lywydd yn y clwb. Ond yn awr mae Dylan Rees am ei olynu. Mae pawb yn ‘nabod Dyl wrth gwrs a’r gwaith di-ddiwedd mae o’n neud i’r clwb, heb son am y dasg Herciwliaidd, pob blwyddyn, o fynd o gwmpas pob un o’r noddwyr a’r hysbysebwyr yn bersonol. Y fo ydi “Mr. Clwb Pêl-droed Porthmadog!” Mae Dyl wedi gaddo mai’r UNIG debygrwydd rhyngddo fo a’r Arlywydd Trump ydi fod y ddau yn Tweetio yr un mor amal!
“Mae dyfodol y clwb yn ddisglair. Neud yn siwr ein bod yn aros i fyny tymor yma a wedyn “look out” tymor nesa.” -Phil Jones -C’mon Port

The Board has also made two further important decisions over the weekend, recognising the role played by Chris Jones and Dylan Rees within the club.
Chairman Phil Jones said, “I would like to announce our decision to appoint Chris Jones as our Vice Chairman. Although a very recent appointment to the Board, he has already shown plenty of enthusiasm and the ability to get things done – great to have him!
“Last but not least ..since losing the excellent Bill Pike several years ago, we have been without a President. But now Dylan Rees will follow him in the role. Dylan is well known to everyone for his tremendous work for the club. Each year he completes the Herculean task of personally visiting each of our sponsors and advertisers. “He really is “Mr CPD Porthmadog”. Dyl has confirmed to us that his ONLY likeness to President Trump is that they are both such frequent Tweeters!!”
“The club has a bright future. We need to make sure that we stay up this season and then ‘look out’ next season.”
Phil Jones – C’mon Port.

Nos Wener yn LLANGEFNI / Friday night visit to LLLANGEFNI

Nos Wener bydd Port yn teithio i Langefni ar gyfer gêm chwe-phwynt. Ar hyn o bryd mae’r Monwysion tri safle a chwe phwynt yn uwch na Port yn y tabl. Byddai sicrhau fod y triphwynt yn aros ar yr Ynys yn gam mawr tuag at ddiogelwch i Llangefni.
Bydd hyn yn ei gwneud yn gêm allweddol i Port hefyd, gyda’r angen amlwg i dorri’r bwlch rhwng y ddau. I lwyddo bydd angen dangos rhagor o’r ysbryd a welwyd pnawn Sadwrn diwetha’ ar Y Traeth.
Cafwyd gip o werth y wynebau newydd mae Paps wedi denu i’r clwb, wrth i berfformiad Gareth Jones Evans helpu i drawsnewid y gêm pnawn Sadwrn ar ôl i’r Fflint fynd 2-0 ar y blaen yn yr hanner cynta’. Yn dod i mewn ar fyr rybudd am ei gêm gynta’, gwobrwyodd Sol Kempster ffydd ei reolwr gyda perfformiad o safon. Roedd cyfraniad Telor Williams, deunaw oed, hefyd yn allweddol. Gyda Josh Davies bellach wedi arwyddo, bydd yn ychwanegu profiad a’r gallu i sgorio i’r garfan. C’mon Port!!

On Friday Port travel to Llangefni in a vital 6 pointer. As things stand Llangefni are three places and 5 points above Port in the table. Three points on Friday would be a big step towards safety for the Anglesey club.
That makes it a vital fixture for Port, with an obvious need to cut the deficit. To achieve that, a repeat of the spirit shown against Flint last Saturday will be required.
The value of the new faces Paps has brought to the club was underlined, with a huge performance from Gareth Jones Evans, who engineered the 2nd half fight back after Flint had gone 2-0 up in the opening half. Sol Kempster, stepping up from the Reserves at short notice, had a great debut and rewarded his manager’s faith in young players. 18-year-old Telor Williams’ sub appearance also proved pivotal. Josh Davies, who is now signed up, will add both experience and goal power to Craig’s squad. C’mon Port!!

The Reserves will travel to Pwllheli on Saturday for a league fixture which kick’s off at 2 pm. There could be some new faces on show!

EISTEDDLE NEWYDD i goffau DAFYDD / A NEW STAND will be a FITTING TRIBUTE

Bu’r bwriad i godi Prif Eisteddle newydd ar Y Traeth yn siffrwd o dan yr wyneb ers tipyn o amser. Ond bellach mae wedi derbyn y golau gwyrdd gan y Bwrdd.
Hwn yw’r cam naturiol nesa’ wrth ddatblygu’r Traeth. Yn ystod y blynyddoedd diweddar, cafodd y safle ei wella’n sylweddol gyda adeiladau newydd Clwb y Traeth a Chanolfan Sgiliau Osian Roberts gyda’i stafell TG/Cyfarfod a chegin fodern. Cafodd y newidiadau yma eu harwain gan Dafydd Wyn Jones a theimlad y Bwrdd yw fod yr amser wedi dod i symud ymlaen ac adeiladu eisteddle newydd. Bwriedir cyflawni hyn fel arwydd o barch a gwerthfawrogiad am ei gyfraniad aruthrol, a dylid enwi’r eisteddle yn EISTEDDLE DAFYDD WYN.
Bydd yr eisteddle yn cael ei adeiladu ar y safle, nid yn uned barod yn dod i mewn fel un darn. Adeiladir yr eisteddle newydd o flaen yr eisteddle bresennol ar y slabiau concrît sydd yno’n barod yn rhan o’r datblygiadau blaenorol. Daw hyn â’r eisteddle yn agosach i’r cae chwarae, a bydd yn ymestyn dros ddwy ochr i fynedfa’r chwaraewyr. Y bwriad ydy cael to cantilifar, er mwyn osgoi unrhyw rwystrau i’r olygfa o’r gêm.
Sut fydd y prosiect yn cael ei ariannu?
Ni fydd y prosiect hwn yn gymwys i dderbyn arian grant Gwella Cyfleusterau Cymru, felly bydd angen i’r clwb godi’r arian ac maent eisoes yn derbyn cyfraniadau oddi wrth unigolion a busnesau sy’n awyddus i gefnogi’r prosiect.
Hefyd mae cyfri JUST GIVING wedi cael ei agor i’w gwneud yn hwylus i bobl wneud eu cyfraniad Dyma’r cyfeiriad i wneud cyfraniadau:

https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/cpdporthmadogfc?utm_term=p5gmagbYG

Bu’r Teulu yn ddigon caredig i wneud, y rhoddion er cof am Dafydd, tuag at Clwb Peldroed Porthmadog trwy law yr ymgymerwyr Pritchard a Griffiths Cyf, Tremadog 01766 512091
Dymuna’r clwb bwysleisio, y defnyddir y rhoddion a dderbynir at y pwrpas o adeiladu Eisteddle ar Y Traeth er cof am Dafydd ac nid at unrhyw bwrpas arall.
Unwaith fydd yr hen stand wedi diflannu, bydd Rhan 2 o’r prosiect angen sylw, gan wella a thacluso’r Stafelloedd Newid.
Meddai’r Cadeirydd Phil Jones “Mae’n rhaid inni gwblhau’r cynllun hwn er mwyn Dafydd.”

Highslide JS

For some time now, simmering just beneath the surface, has been the ambition to see a new main stand built at the Traeth. That project is now due to receive the green light from the Board.
This is the next step in the development of the Traeth. Over recent years the ground has undergone major improvement with extensive new building which has given us a new clubhouse and the Osian Roberts Skills centre with its IT Centre/Meeting Room and a modern kitchen. All of these major changes were spearheaded by Dafydd Wyn Jones and the Board feel it is now opportune to move ahead with the Main Stand and as a sign of the respect it has for his enormous contribution it would be a fitting tribute to Dafydd if the stand was named the DAFYDD WYN STAND.
The stand will be built on site and won’t arrive in one piece as a pre-built structure. The new stand will be built in front of the current main stand and the concrete slabs required are already in position as part of the previous redevelopment. This will bring the stand closer to the pitch. The new stand will extend to both sides of the current players entrance. The intention is to give it a cantilever roof so that there is an uninterrupted view.
How will this project be financed?
As this project would not qualify for a Welsh Ground Improvement Grant, the finance needed will have to be raised, and the Club is already open for contributions from individuals or businesses that wish to support this project.
A JUST GIVING account has been opened and donations can be made via this link:

https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/cpdporthmadogfc?utm_term=p5gmagbYG

The family have been kind enough to make the donations received in memory of Dafydd, towards Porthmadog Football Club through the funeral directors Pritchard a Griffiths Cyf, Tremadog 01766 512091.
The club would like to stress that the donations received by the club through this avenue will ONLY be used to assist with the project to erect a stand at the Traeth as a memorial to Dafydd’s outstanding service.
Once the old stand is removed Part Two of the project will then need attention and it is proposed to update and improve the current Changing Rooms.
Chairman Phil Jones said, “We just have to do this for Dafydd.”
