’Nabod Gwydion Ifan / Getting to Know Gwydion

Gwydion Ifan Mae Gwydion Ifan wedi cwblhau tymor cyntaf ardderchog ar Y Traeth ac heddiw mae’n ymateb i gwestiynau Craig Papirnyk.

Gwydion Ifan has completed an excellent first season at the Traeth and today he gives his responses to Craig Papirnyk’s questions.

1 - Gwydion, tell us about yourself - work , hobbies, supporter for ? etc
I'm a TA at Ysgol Brynhyfryd, Ruthin, and have been for almost 2 years now. My main hobby is obviously football, and has been all my life. Other hobbies include one or two shandies on a Saturday night.

2 – What’s your playing History i.e clubs, honours etc
My first senior club was Ruthin Town, and I luckily broke into the first team in that first season. Through being in the first team came my greatest honour of representing Wales schoolboy's U18, I then moved to Bala Town where I had a few pre seasons games with the first team, but mostly played for the reserves. When eventually Bala Town reserves folded, almost everyone moved with each other to CPD Llanuwchllyn which is a fantastic community club with very talented players. Then I moved to Port...

3 – How has your first season at Port been for you?
It's been a great season for me. Everyone has made me feel so welcome. The only downside were the couple of injures that I suffered towards the end of the season, that and the fact that it was my first ever season without scoring!!

4 – What does it mean to you playing for Port?
I always grew up knowing that Port was a big club, and to be able to play for them is great. They have fantastic people working endlessly behind the scene.

5 – You have played in the Cymru alliance before, how has it changed for you?
I have played in the Cymru alliance years ago for Ruthin when I was 17. I feel the league has improved since then, and is improving all the time with big name clubs coming in every year, we will have to be at our best next season.

6 - The banter in the dressing room is becoming clearer after each interview! Is it all fun and who has the best banter?!
The banter is sky high. I don't tend to get involved in it; I always concentrate and give it my all in training!!! It's hard to name names; there are so many different characters who bring different types of banter to the dressing room.

7 - Worst trainer and why?
Easy...Banksy! 0% effort. 0% class. Yet he's the first name on the team-sheet!!

8 - Best & Worst Dancer ?
I don't remember!

9 - Who's the funniest player and why ?
I'll go with 'drunken Squiz'. A must see!

10 - Finally , do you have a message for the supporters ?
Yes, thank you for your support this season, it goes a long way with the players and means a lot to me , I have been welcomed by everyone involved in my 1st season, it’s a fantastic club.

Cheers mate

Josh Davies i adael Port / Josh Davies to leave

Josh Davies Derbyniwyd, gyda dipyn o syndod, y newyddion fod Josh Davies i adael Port a dychwelyd i Ddinbych.
“Rwy’n siomedig i’w golli,” meddai Craig Papirnyk, “gan iddo gael ei dymor gorau erioed yn y Cymru Alliance gyda Port y tymor diwethaf ond mae’r penderfyniad wedi’i wneud.
“Os na fydd chwaraewr yn rhannu’r awydd a’r uchelgais i symud ymlaen gyda Port ni fyddaf yn ceisio’i stopio rhag symud i glwb arall.
“Ar rhan y clwb rwy’n diolch i Josh am ei gyfraniad yn ystod 2014/15 ac yn deall ei fod wedi derbyn cynnig da fydd hefyd yn golygu llai o deithio iddo. Dymunaf y gorau i Josh.”
Ond rheolwr ydy Craig sydd bob amser yn edrych ymlaen heb aros yn rhy hir gyda’r hyn sydd yn barod wedi digwydd ac yn ychwanegu, “Bydd y clwb yn edrych i’r dyfodol ac mae cynlluniau eisoes yn ei lle i gryfhau y garfan ardderchog sydd gennym yn barod.”

CPD Porthmadog have received the shock news that last season’s leading scorer Josh Davies has decided to leave the club and return to Denbigh Town.
“I am very disappointed to lose him,” said manager Craig Papirnyk, “he had his best ever season in the Cymru Alliance playing for Port but his decision has been made.
“You have to want to be part of this club, and I would not stop anybody, who doesn't want to move forward with Porthmadog FC or have the ambition to do so, from moving on.
“On behalf of the club I wish to thank Josh for his services during 2014/15 and I understand that he has received a good offer which also means less travelling for him.Good luck to Josh in the future.”
But Craig is a manger whose nature is to look ahead without dwelling too long on what is already done promising, “We will move forward and plans are already in place to strengthen the great squad that we already have.“

Ail Dîm -angen cymorth / Reserves –help needed

Mae’r clwb yn edrych i apwyntio rheolwr ac is-reolwr i’r Ail Dîm ac mae Gerallt Owen wedi cytuno i fod yn ysgrifennydd i’r tîm newydd. Ond os ydy’r project hwn i lwyddo yn amlwg bydd angen mwy o gymorth.
Mae’r clwb yn gofyn am gefnogwyr sy’n barod i wirfoddoli a helpu ar ddiwrnod y gemau i gario allan nifer o dasgau angenrheidiol. Dylai unrhyw un sydd am weld hyn yn llwyddo ac yn barod i weithredu gysylltu â’r cadeirydd Phil Jones.
Bydd y tîm yn chwarae yn y cocha du traddodiadol ac yn defnyddio y crysau melyn a du oddi cartref.

The club is taking steps to appoint a reserve team manager and an assistant and Gerallt Owen has agreed to become team secretary to the revived reserve team. But if the new project is to be a success then much more help will obviously be needed.
We are now seeking supporters who would like to assist with the various reserve match day logistics and would ask that anyone willing to help should make themselves known to the club chairman, Phil Jones.
We will be playing in Red/Black for home fixtures and are looking to utilise the yellow/black ex-first team strip as an away strip.
