Yn ogystal a sicrhau y trydydd safle yn ei tymor cyntaf yng Nghyngrair Gwynedd cafwyd llwyddiant yn cyrraedd rowndiau terfynnol yr amrywiol gwpanau ar y lefel yma. Cyrhaeddodd Port rownd derfynnol Cwpan Gwynedd (John Smith) a'i gwrthwynebwyr y tro yma oedd Llanrug, sef pencampwyr Cyngrhair Gwynedd am eleni. Mewn gem braidd yn siomedig methodd Port rhywstro'i gwrthwynebwyr rhag gwblhau y dwbl. Roedd gol, ei prif sgoriwr am y tymor, Kevin Davies, ar ol 22 munud, yn ddigon i sicrhau y fuddugoliaeth, a'r Gwpan, i Lanrug.
Yn rownd derfynnol Tarian Eryri cyfarfu hogiau'r ail dim a'r clwb a orfennodd un safle yn uwch yn y gyngrhair, sef Biwmaris. Yr ynyswyr a brofodd gryfa ar y dydd gan sicrhau buddugoliaeth o 4-2.

Congratulations to the Reserves on their successful season. In addition to ensuring an excellent third place finish, in their first season back in the Gwynedd League, they reached several finals in the numerous cup competitions which are played for at this level. They took the Ron Jones Memorial Cup with a 5-2 win against Llandudno Cricketers with Emyr Jones securing a hat-trick (22,57 and 80 mins) and Alan Jones and Richard Hughes adding the other two.
Port also reached the final of the John Smith Gwynedd Cup where they met this season's Gwynedd League champions, Llanrug Utd. In a somewhat disappointing game the reserves failed to prevent their opponents completing the League and Cup double. In the event a single goal, after 22 mins, by, top scorer, Kevin Davies proved enough to secure the victory and the Cup for Llanrug.
The final of the Eryri Shield saw Port take on Beaumaris, the team who finished one place above them in the league. The game went according to form with the islanders triumphing by 4-2.

Cwpan y Gynghrair / League Cup.

Campeones!!!!
Yn dilyn y fuddigaolaeth gyffrous yn erbyn Bwcle, cadarnhaodd Port eu safle fel pencampwyr y Cymru Alliance. Yr holl sydd bellach angen ei wneud er mwyn cadarnhau dyrchafiad Port i Uwch Gynghrair Cymru yw cwblhau'r gwaith o godi'r cyfleusterau ar y Traeth i'r safon angenrheidiol. Ond, dydi'r tymor ddim drosodd eto, gyda'r hogiau'n awyddus i ymestyn y record di-guro drwy'r tymor. Fel dangosodd y fuddigoliaeth ysgubol yn erbyn Gresffordd, mae nw'n amlwg yn golygu busnes. Mae Port yn parhau i fod yng Nghwpan y Gynghrair a Chwpan Arfordir y Gogledd, lle maent i gyfarfod a Llandudno yn y rownd derfynnol. Gwrthwynebwyr Port yng Nghwpan y Gynghrair yw'r Wyddgrug, gyda'r gem yn cael ei chwarae ar nos Iau, Mai'r 1af. Bydd hwn yn gyfle i Port gael dathlu'r bencampwriaeth a'r dyrchafiad o flaen y cefnogwyr cartref.

Following the hard fought victory against Buckley, Port have confirmed their place as Cymru Alliance champions. All that remains to be done now to ensure promotion to the Welsh Premier is to complete the work of improving the facilities at the Traeth to the necesary standards. But, the season is still not over, with the lads looking to extend their unbeaten run to the end of the season. As the emphatic victory against Gresford proved, they obviously mean business. Port also remain in the League Cup and the North Wales Coast Cup, where they are up against Llandudno in the Final. Port's opponents in the League Cup are Mold Alex, with the game scheduled for Thursday May 1st. This will be an opportunity for Port to celebrate the Championship and promotion in front of the home support.

Dim Colli Pwyntiau. / No Points Deduction.
Mewn gwrandawiad yng ngwesty'r Imperial yn Llandudno, o dan gadeiryddiaeth Alun Evans, cafodd Port eu canfod dim ond yn 'dechnegol euog' o chwarae Richard Harvey heb ganiatad rhyngwladol. O ganlyniad, byddant yn derbyn dirwy o £250 wedi eu ohirio am flwyddyn, ond ni fydd unrhyw bwyntiau yn cael eu tynnu oddi arnynt. Mae'r bwrdd rheoli a'r tim cyfreithiol yn haeddu canmoliaeth uchel am y modd cadarn y maent wedi delio gyda'r achos hwn. Diweddglo hapus a theg i achos sydd wedi hongian fel cwmwl du uwchben y clwb yn ystod un o'r tymhorau mwyaf llwyddianus yn ei hanes.
I fod yn fathemategol sicr o ddyrchafiad rhaid ennill un pwynt pellach o'r pum gem sydd yn weddill.

In a hearing at Llandudno's Imperial hotel, chaired by Alun Evans, Port were only found 'technically guilty' of playing Richard Harvey without international clearance. Consequently, they will receive a fine of £250, suspended for a year, but no points will be deducted. The management board and the legal team deserve the highest praise for the firm and determined way they dave dealt with this case. This is a happy and fair conclusion to a case that has hung like a dark cloud over one of the most successful seasons in the club's history.
To be mathematically secure of promotion they have to win one further point from the five remaining games.

Gwrandawiad. / Hearing.
Bydd Port yn cael clywed mewn gwrandawiad ddydd Iau yng Ngwesty’r Imperial yn Llandudno os ydynt yn euog o chwarae’r golwr Richard Harvey heb ganiatad rhyngwladol. Mae posib y bydd Port yn cael eu dirwyo neu yn colli hyd at 21 pwynt. Cadeirydd y grandawiad yw cyn-ysgrifennydd y Gymdeithas Beldroed, Alun Evans. Bydd 3 clwb arall hefyd yn bresennol, sef Llangefni, Cemaes a Wrecsam, tra fod y Gymdeithas Beldroed wedi datgan eu bod yn ymwybodol fod clwb arall (Llanberis?) yn rhan o’r helynt. Mae Port, a’u tim cyfreithiol profiadol, yn hyderus y bydd y Gymdeithas yn penderfynnu o’u plaid gan fod Harvey wedi treulio cyfnodau gyda Llanberis, Cemaes a Wrecsam yn y flwyddyn rhwng gadael Macclesfield Town ac ymuno a Port.

Port will be told in a hearing on Thursday at the Imperial Hotel, Llandudno whether they are guilty of playing keeper Richard Harvey without international clearance. It’s possible that Port will be fined or deducted up to 21 points. The hearing will be chaired by ex-Welsh Football Association boss Alun Evans. Three other clubs will be present; Llangefni, Cemaes and Wrexham, while the Football Association have anounced that another club (Llanberis?) are also involved in the debacle. Port, and their experienced legal team, are confident that the Association will decide in their favour as Harvey had spent spells at Llanberis, Cemaes and Wrexham in the year between leaving Macclesfield Town and joining Port.

Lee Webber - chwaraewr y flwyddyn. / Lee Webber - player of the year.
Dewis y cefnogwyr fel chwaraewr y flwyddyn oedd Lee Webber. Mae Lee wedi bod yn rhan ganolog o amddiffynfa mwyaf cybyddlud y Gynghrair. Ni ellir anwybyddu ei gyfranniad ar ochr arall y cae chwaith, wrth iddo rwydo'n gyson gyda'i ben. Mae'n chwaraewr sydd bob amser yn rhoi 100%, ac mae hyn wedi ei wneud yn ffefryn gyda'r ffyddloniaid. Llongyfarchiadau Lee!

The supporters' choice as player of the year is Lee Webber. Lee has been a key component of the League's most miserly defence. His contribution on the other side of the pitch cannot be ignored, netting regularly with his head. He is a player that always gives 100%, which has made him a frim favourate with the faithfull. Congrats Lee!

Danny Hughes allan / Danny Hughes out.
Mae'r anaf i droed yr amddiffynwr Danny Hughes wedi profi i fod yn llawer gwaeth na feddyliwyd i ddechrau. Mae nawr wedi cael ei gadarnhau ei fod wedi tori asgwrn yn ei droed ac yn mynd i fethu gweddill y tymor. Daeth Hughes i ffwrdd funudau cyn haner amser yn gem nos fawrth yn erbyn Cemaes. Bydd hyn yn golled i'r tim gyda Hughes yn gadernid yng nghalon yr amddiffyn, sydd ond wedi gollwng 15 gol gynghrair mewn 26 gem.

The foot injury to star defender Danny Hughes has proved far worse than originally believed. It has now been confirmed that he has broken a bone in his foot and will miss the remainder of the season. Hughes came off moments before half time of Tuesday night's Cymru Alliance encounter against Cemaes Bay. This will be a loss to the team as Hughes has been a tower of strength in the heart of a defence who have only leaked 15 League goals in 26 matches.

Welsh Football.
Cymerwyd y sylwadau isod o’r rhifyn diweddaraf o’r cylchgrawn Pêldroed annibynnol Welsh Football. Mae’r rhifyn diweddaraf bellach ar gael, a bydd ar werth yn siop y clwb yn ystod y gêm nesaf yn erbyn Treffynnon.

The following comments were taken from the latest issue of independent Football magazine, Welsh Football. The latest issue is now on sale, and will be on sale in the club shop during the next game against Holywell.

If you look at the Cymru Alliance league table, you would conclude that the promotion race is effectively over: CPD Porthmadog, who are known to possess facilities suitable for the Welsh Premier, hold a commanding lead and results have shown Viv Williams's side to be head and shoulders above all their rivals at this level. But one cloud of doubt hangs over Port's promotion bid - the FAW inquiry into a complex ineligible player case which could ultimately result in a points deduction for the Traeth club.

The peculiar thing about this case is that it is hard to see what Porthmadog have done wrong, or what they could (reasonably) have been expected to do differently. At the center of the case is goalkeeper Richard Harvey whom they signed last summer from Cemaes Bay. Later it transpired that Harvey had never received international clearance to play in Wales, but by then he'd played seven games from which Port' gained 19 points. When signing a player from a fellow Welsh club, it wouldn't appear necessary to check on international clearance and one hopes common sense will prevail and the verdict will not wreck the Cymru Alliance season. For to distort the league table in any major way on the basis of a rather technical offence, with mitigating circumstances, would really not enhance the reputation of either the league or Welsh football in general.

Dave Collins.

Ardal ddigwyddiadau. / Events area.
Mae Port wedi bod yn llwyddiannus yn ei cais am grant werth £30,000 gan Brosiect Cwlwm Gwledig sy'n cael ei ariannu gan Gyngor Gwynedd. Gwnaethwyd y cais fel rhan o gynllun i ddatblygu'r cae ymarfer mewn i ardal ddigwyddiadau. Bydd y datblgyiadau yn cynnwys Marquee, sied newydd ar gyfer storio, trailer a chyfleusterau toiled. Gwella'r Traeth / Ground improvements.
Mae'r gwaith o wella'r cyfleusterau ar y Traeth yn parhau i fynd yn ei flaen. Yn dilyn haelioni Cyngor Tref Porthmadog, mae 338 o seddi bellach wedi eu harchebu er mwyn cwrdd a'r gofynion. Mae ffens newydd hefyd ar ei ffordd er mwyn cwblhau'r gwaith o amgylchynu'r cae. Bydd Port wedi chwarae eu holl gemau cartref erbyn diwedd Mawrth, gan adael digon o amser i addasu'r ystafelloedd newid. Mae'r swyddogion felly yn ffyddiog iawn bydd y gwelliannau angenrheidiol wedi eu cwblhau erbyn ail ymweliad archwilwyr yr Uwch Gynghrair.

The work of improving the facilities at the Traeth is still in progress. Thanks to the generosity of Porthmadog Town Council, 338 new seats have now been ordered to meet the requirements. A new fence is also on its way to complete the perimiter fencing. Port will have completed their home fixtures by the end of March, allowing plenty of time to extend the changing rooms. The officials are therefore very confident that they will have completed the necessary improvements before the second visit of the Welsh Premier inspectors.
