Cwpan Arfordir y Gogledd / North Wales Coast.
Mae'r enwau wedi cael eu tynnu o'r het ar gyfer rownd nesaf Cwpan Her Cyndeithas Beldroed Arfordir y Gogledd. Os fydd Port yn llwyddiannus yn erbyn Llangefni, eu gwrthwynebwyr yn rown yr wyth olaf fydd Bae Colwyn o gynghrair yr Unibond. Bydd y gem yn erbyn Llangefni, a ohuriwyd y Sadwrn diwethaf, yn cael ei ail-chwarae ar y Fawrth y 15fed.

The draw has been made for the next round of the North Wales Coast FA Challenge Cup. If Port are succesfull against Llangefni, their opponents in the quarter finals will be Colwyn Bay from the Unibond League. The game against Llangefni, postponed last Saturday, has been re-scheduled for March the 15th.

Cofrestru Canolog? / Central Registration?
Wrth i Port aros am wrandawiad ynglyn a chwarae Richard Harvey heb ganiatad rhyngwladol, mae adroddiad yn y North Wales Chronicle yn tynnu sylw at ddiffyg trefn gofrestru ddigonol yn y cynghreiriau o dan Uwch Gynghrair Cymru.
Fel mae Bryan Owen, rheolwr Llangefni yn egluro - "The problem was only highlighted when Rhyl wanted to sign Harvey on second forms for the Welsh Premier League last November. The Welsh FA said that international clearance was needed as Harvey was still registered in England.”
Aeth ymlaen i annog yr awdurdodau i adael y sefyllfa fel yr oedd hi gan nad oedd yr un o’r clybiau wedi gweithredu er mwyn cael mantais anheg.
Yn ôl y Chronicle, mae swyddogion y Cymru Alliance yn edrych ar y posibilrwydd o dynhau’r rheolau ynglyn a cofrestru chwaraewyr. Yn ôl yr hyn yr ydym yn deall, mae bas-data cofrestru canolog Uwch Gynghrair Cymru, yn gwneud camgymeridau o’r fath yn llai tebygol ar y lefel hwnnw. Pam nad yw’r bas-data yma’n ar gael i holl glybiau Cymru?

As Port await a hearing after playing Richard Harvey without international clearance, a report in the North Wales Chronicle draws attention to the absence of a satisfactory registration process in the leagues below the Welsh Premier.
"The problem was only highlighted when Rhyl wanted to sign Harvey on second forms for the Welsh Premier League last November," explained Llangefni Town manager Bryan Owen.
"The Welsh FA said that international clearance was needed as Harvey was still registered in England ..... I would urge the authorities to let sleeping dogs lie, as the moves were not done to gain an unfair advantage."
According to the Chronicle, Cymru Alliance officials are looking at the possibility of tightening “the rules governing the registration of players.” We understand that a central registration database is maintained in the Welsh Premier, and that this makes such mistakes less likely at that level. Why isn’t this database made available to all clubs in Wales?

Archwyliad o'r Maes / Ground Inspection.
Cafwyd ymweliad safle gan swyddogion Uwch Gynghrair Cymru bnawn Mercher, ac roeddent yn hynod o bles gyda'r gwaith sydd wedi ei wneud ers y tro diwethaf iddynt ymweld. Mae'r clwb bellach yn gwybod yn union beth sydd angen ei wneud ac mi fydd y gwaith yn cael ei wneud rhwng rwan a dechrau mis Mai. Seddi, gwellianau i ystafell y dyfarnwr a ffens ar ochr bellau y cae yw'r tri peth pwysicaf, gyda un neu ddau o welliannau man eraill wedi eu crybwyll. Mae swyddogion y clwb yn gwbl argyhoeddedig y bydd y clwb yn barod i fynd i fyny os fyddwn yn gorffen ar frig y tabl.

A site visit by officials of the Welsh Premier was conducted on Wednesday afternoon, and they were very pleased with the improvements made since their last visit. The club now know exactly what needs to be done, and the work will be completed between now and the start of May. Seats, improvements to the ref's changing room and a fence on the far end of the ground are the three main improvements necessary, with one or two other minor improvements mentioned. Club officials are certain that Port will be ready for promotion if they finish on the top of the table.

Gêm Glan Conwy / Glan Conwy tie.
Yn dilyn gohurio'r gêm y penwythnos diwethaf yng Nghwpan Her Arfordir y Gogledd i ffwrdd yn Glan Conwy, gwnaed y penderfyniad y byddai'r gêm hon yn derbyn blaenoriaeth dros ymweliad holl-bwysig Port gyda Bwcle, un o geffylau blaen eraill y Cymru Alliance. Bydd Port felly yn chwarae yn erbyn Glan Conwy y penwythnos hwn (18/01/03) yn hytrach na theithio i Fwcle.

After the postponement of last week's North Wales Coast Challenge Cup tie, away at Glan Conwy, the decision was taken that this match would take precedence over the all-important league visit to fellow Cymru Alliance front-runners, Buckley. Port will therefore play against Glan Conwy this weekend (18/01/03) rather than travelling to Buckley.

Mae tri o glybiau y Cymru Alliance wedi eu cyhuddo o ddefnyddio chwaraewr anghymwys gan Gymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru. Y golwr 21-mlwydd-oed, Richard Harvey, yw'r chwaraewr sydd yn gyfrifol am yr honiadau anhygoel all fod yn niweidiol dros ben i obeithion Porthmadog, arweinwyr yr adran, o ddyrchafiad i Uwchgynghrair Cymru yn ogystal â chlybiau Llangefni a Cemaes.
Mae Harvey wedi chwarae i'r tri clwb am gyfnodau yn ystod y ddau dymor diwethaf, ond mae honiadau na chafodd yr un clwb ganiatad rhyngwladol er mwyn iddo chwarae yng nghynghreiriau Cymru. Honir bod Harvey wedi ei gofrestru â chlwb Macclesfield Town o Gynghrair y Nationwide tra bod y golwr yn chwarae dros y tri clwb Cymreig. Os canfu'r clybiau'n euog o chwarae chwaraewr anghymwys gall y tri dderbyn dirwy neu golli pwyntiau.
Clwb Porthamdog, sydd ar hyn o bryd ar frig yr adran wedi ennill 15 gêm allan o 16, sydd â'r mwyaf i golli. Chwaraeodd Harvey chwe gêm i Port, sydd â bwlch o 11 pwynt rhyngddynt hwy â Rhuthun sy'n ail.
Mae clwb presenol y golwr, Llangefni, wedi datgan eu bod wedi derbyn caniatad ryngwladol ar ei gyfer, ond maent wedi eu cyhuddo o chwarae'r golwr mewn dwy gêm cyn cael caniatad. Chwaraeodd Harvey i glwb Cemaes yn Sîr Fôn am y rhan helaeth o'r tymor diwethaf.
Cadarnhaodd llefarydd ar ran Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru bod y tri clwb wedi ateb y cyhuddiadau ac wedi gofyn am wrandawiad personol. Bydd y Gymdeithas yn sefydlu comisiwn i ymchwilio'r honiadau yn ystod y mis nesaf.
Dywedodd Osian Roberts mewn cyfweliad gyda Radio Cymru ei fod yn gobeithio y byddai "synnwyr cyffredin yn ennill y dydd." Yn ol Osian arwydodd Port chwaraewr roeddynt yn ystyried yn hogyn lleol oedd wedi chwarae am dymor cyfan gyda clwb lleol, a nad oeddynt felly wedi ystyried yr angen am ganiatad rhyngwladol.

Three Cymru Alliance clubs have been accused of using an ineligible player by the Football Association of Wales. 21-year-old goalkeeper, Richard Harvey, is the player at the centre of the extrordainary accusations that could be extremely be damaging to Porthmadog, the league's leaders, hopes of promotion to the Welsh Premier as well as Llangenfi Town and Cemaes Bay.
Harvey has played for all three clubs for periods over the last two seasons, but there are claims that none of these clubs had international clearence that would allow him to play in Wales. It is claimed that Harvey was still registered with Macclesfield Town in the Nationwide League while turning out for the three Welsh clubs. If the clubs are found guilty of playing an ineligible they could all face a fine or could have points deducted.
Porthmadog, currently on top of the division having won 15 games out of 16, have the most to loose. Harvey played six games for Port, who have a 11 point gap between them and Rhuthun in second place.
The keeper's present club, Llangefni Town, have stated that international celarence has now been granted, but they have been accused of playing Harvey for two matches before gaining permission. Harvey played for Cemaes Bay for the most part of last season.
A spokesman on bahalf of the Football Association of Wales confirmed that the three clubs had responded to the accusations and had asked for a personal hearings. The Association will set up a commision to investigate the accusations during the next month.
Osian Roberts said in an interview with Radio Cymru that he hoped that "common sense would win the day." Osian said that Pot had signed a player they considered to be a local boy who had played a full season for a local club, and that they therefore didn't consider the need for international clearence.

    Gem Ffwrdd / Game Off.
Cafodd y gem yn erbyn Llanfairpwll ei galw i ffwrdd am 10:30 bore 'ma oherwydd gormod o ddwr ar y cae, ar ol i'r dyfarnwr roi ymchwyliad trwyadl i'r cae.

The game against Llanfairpwll was called off at 10:30 this morning because of a water-logged pitch, after the referee had conducted a "thurough inspection" of the pitch.

Blaenau Ffestiniog 2:1 Port (Eil. / Res.)
Gwrthwynebwyr ail dim Port heddiw (21/12/02) oedd yr hen elyn, Blaenau Ffestiniog, gyda llawer yn cofio gemau cystadleuol rhwng y ddau glwb yn y gorffennol. Blaenau, sydd bellach yn cael eu rheoli gan gyn-chwaraewr Port Cai Williams, a gafodd y gorau o’r gêm dros y 90 munud, gan roi pwysau mawr ar eilyddion Port drwy ran helaeth o’r ail hanner. Port, er hynny, agorodd y sgorio yn hwyr yn yr hanner cyntaf, gyda Alan Jones, o’r Blaenau, yn rhwydo gôl dda. Gwnaeth Richard Harvey, yn y gôl i Port, yn dda i rwystro Blaenau rhag canfod y rhwyd nes yn hwyr yn yr ail hanner, er pwysau cyson gan y tim cartref. Unionwyd y sgoriau chwarter awr cyn y diwedd, ac er i Port gael ychydig gyfleon i rwydo ar ôl hynny, byddai’n anodd dadlau nad oedd Blaenau yn haeddu’r fuddigoliaeth, wrth iddynt sgorio gyda cic ola’r gêm.

Port reserves’ opponents today (21/12/02) were old rivals, Blaenau Ffestiniog, with many remembering competitive matches between the clubs in the past. Blaenau, who are now managed by ex-Port player Cai Williams, had the best of the play over the 90 minutes, putting great pressure on Port reserves for most of the second half. It was Port however, that opened the scoring late in the first half, with Alan Jones, from Blaenau, finding the net with a good shot. Richard Harvey, in the Port goal, did well to prevent Blaenau from finding the net until late in the second half, despite constant pressure from the home team. The scores were levelled a quarter of an hour from the end, and despite a few chances for Port to score after this, it would be hard to deny that Blaenau deserved the victory, as they scored with the last kick of the game.

    Dim Dyrchafiad / No Promotion.
Rhoddodd y fuddigoliaeth nos Iau (19/12/02) yn erbyn Llangefni 11 pwynt o flaenoriaeth i Port ar frig y Cymru Alliance. Ond, mae ofnau na fydd ennill y Gynghrair yn ddigon i sicrhau dyrchafiad i Uwch Gynghrair JT Hughes / Mitsubishi. Mae cynlluniau i ostwng niferoedd y Gynghrair Genedlaethol, wedi cael sylw ers amser bellach, ond yn ôl adroddiad ar Newyddion S4C (20/12/02), mae posib y gallai hyn gael ei gyflawni drwy atal timau rhag cael eu dyrchafu y tymor hwn. Nid hwn fyddai’r tro cyntaf i Port golli allan oherwydd cynlluniau i ostwng niferoedd y Gynghrair. Disgynodd Port o’r Gynghrair Genedlaethol yn 1996, pan benderfynnwyr y byddai 4 tim yn syrthio er mwyn gostwng nifer y timau o 20 i 18.

The victory against Llangefni o Thursday night (19/12/02), gave port a 11 point lead on the top of the Cymru Alliance. But, there are fears that winning the league will not be enough to ensure promotion into the JT Hughes / Mitsubishi Welsh Premier. Plans to reduce the league’s numbers have been on the agenda for some time now, but according to a report on S4C News (20/12/02), it is possible that this change might be implemented by preventing teams from being promoted this term. This would be the second time for Port to miss-out on the Welsh Premier due to a reduction in the League’s numbers. They were relegated in 1996, when it was decided that 4 teams would face the drop in order to reduce the number of teams from 20 to 18.
