The following article is from the Cambrian News: A Dwyfor football club has produced a calendar of old photographs to celebrate over a century of matches.
The calendar produced by Porthmadog Football Club features historic photographs spanning the period from the first available photo of the 1892 team to the famous 1960 Mel Charles superteam.
The club's secretary Gerallt Owen said: "Porthmadog FC has been an integral part of the social and community life of the town from its formation in 1884, and is one of the foremost clubs in Wales.
"The calendar is a potted attempt to reflect several decades of exciting teams and times as well as unforgetable events such as the back to back Welsh Amateur Cup wins of the 1950's, some well known personalities and household names such as Sir Stanely Matthews who played at Y Traeth.
"We are extremely grateful to those local businesses who have made this a reality by sponsoring the various months.
"We believe that we have here something unique which chronicles teams, events and successes which are still fondly remembered by many people.
"This includes the several hundred ex-patriots who live all over the world.
"The calendar will make a wonderful Christmas present for those people as well as townspeople themselves."
The calendar is available from the club's shop at Y Traeth, local shops or by calling Gerallt Owen on 01766 512991.

Gem gyfeillgar yn Conwy / Friendly match in Conwy.
Gan na fydd Port yn chwarae y penwythnos hwn oherwydd gem ryngwladol Cymru, trefnodd Viv gem gyfeillgar yn erbyn y tim ar frig y Welsh Alliance, Conwy. Roedd hwn yn gyfle i gadw ffitrwydd y tim, a hefyd yn gyfle i chwaraewyr ymylol brofi eu hunain. Er i Conwy ddechrau’n dda, dechreuodd Port reoli gyda’r goliau yn llifo yn fuan iawn. Aeth Port fewn ar yr hanner ar y blaen o dair gôl, wedi i Pugh, a gafodd gêm wych, rwydo ddwy waith (15 a 22) gyda Carl Owen yn ei gwneud yn dair ar 28 munud.
Yn yr ail hanner, gwelwyd y ddau dim yn gwneud nifer o newidiadau, gyda Port yn rhoi cyfle i chwaraewyr o’r ail dim, gyda Cai Williams, Tony Williams, Meirion Pritchard ac Ywain Gwynedd yn gwneud ymddangosiadau. Aeth Port ymlaen i rwydo 5 o goliau pellach. Ychwanegodd Pugh ei drydedd ar 53 munud a Carl Owen ei ail ar 81 munud. Rhanwyd y goliau eraill rhwng David Farr (62), Meirion Pritchard (86) a Cai Williams (87) i gwblhau noson lwyddiannus i Port.

As Port do not have a game this weekend, due to the Wales intenational, Viv aranged a friendly match against Welsh Alliance leaders Conwy United. This was a great chance to maintain team fitness, and a chance for fringe players to prove themselves. Despite Conwy starting well, Port began to control with the goals soon starting to flow. Port went in at the interval ahead by three goals, after Pugh, who had a brilliant game, netted twice (15 and 22) with Carl Owen making it three on 28 minutes.
In the second half, both teams made numerous changes, with Port giving many second team players a run out, with Cai Williams, Tony Williams, Meirion Pritchard and Ywain Gwynedd all making appearances. Port went on to net a further 5 goals. Pugh completed his hat-trick on 53 minutes, and Carl Owen got his second on 81 minutes. The rest of the spoils were shared between David Farr (62), Meirion Pritchard (86) and Cai Williams (87) to complete the rout.

Golwr Newydd / New goalie
Mae'r rheolwr Viv Williams wedi ymateb yn sydyn i arwyddo golwr newydd i gymryd lle Kenny Dixon. Mae wedi arwyddo golwr Caergybi Dylan Pritchard mewn symudiad sydyn. Mae Pritchard, sydd yn un o'r golwyr mwyaf uchel ei barch yn yr ardal, yn byw ym Mangor, ond wedi bod gyda hogiau'r Harbwr am 3 tymor. Credir y bydd yn gwneud ei ymddangosiad cyntaf yn erbyn Guilsfeild b'nawn Sadwrn. Mae'n debyg fod gan Pritchard gysylltiadau teuluol ym Mhorthmadog, gydai ewyrth Ifor Pritchard yn gyn-golwr i Port yn ystod y 60au, ag yn parhau i fyw yn y dref.

Dixon yn gadael / Dixon leaves
Rydym yn deall fod golwr Port, Kenny Dixon, mewn angytundeb gyda tim rheoli’r clwb, a felly yn annebygol o ymddangos eto. Mae’r clwb yn dweud eu bod ar fin arwyddo rhywun i gymryd ei le, gyda golwr sydd yn cael ei ddisgrifio fel un "profiadol iawn" yn dangos diddordeb mewn ymuno a’r clwb

We understand that Port goalkeeper, Kenny Dixon, is in dispute with the club’s management team, and is therefore unlikely to appear again. The club say that the signing of a replacement is imminent, with a keeper that is described as "very experienced" is showing an interest in joining.
