Cynghrair Llif-oleuadau / Floodlit League
Chwaraeodd Port ei gem gyntaf yng Nghyngrair Llif-oleuadau Gogledd Cymru yn erbyn Llandudno neithiwr. Oherwydd y prinder gemau diweddar, penderfynnodd Colin Hawkins chwaraae tim cryf yn erbyn Llandudno, oedd wedi dewis chwarae tim cymharol ifanc. Y sgôr terfynnol oedd 3-0 i Port, gyda'r gôl gyntaf yn cael ei sgorio gan Adrian Owen ar ôl 10 munud o'r chwarae. Pum munud yn ddiweddarach adiodd Richard Hughes at y flaenoriaeth gyda ergyd o 6 llath. Cafodd y fuddigoliaeth ei gwneud yn sicr 15 mumud o'r diwedd wrth i'r eilydd Viv Williams sgorio'r drydedd.

Port played their first game in the new North Wales Floodlit League last night against Llandudno. Due to the recent shortage of games Colin Hawkins decided to start with a near full-strength side against Llandudno who feilded a team of youngsters. The final score was 3-0 to Port, with the first goal scored by Adrian Owen after only ten minutes. Five minutes later Richard Hughes added to the lead with a tap-in from 6 yds. The result was put beyond any doubt 15 minutes from time when sub Viv Williams scored Port's third.

Cynghrair Llif-oleuadau. / Floodlit League
Mae posibilrwydd y bydd cynghrair llif-oleuadau Gogledd Cymru yn cael cymryd lle wedi'r cyfan. Cafodd y gynghrair, oedd fod i ddechrau yn ystod y mis diwethaf, ei gwahardd gan y Gymdeithas Bel-Droed. Ond, yn ôl Colin Hawkins, mae'n bosib y bydd y gynghrair hon, a fyddai o gymorth mawr i Port wrth ddod a chwaraewyr ymylol i mewn i'r tim cyntaf, yn cael caniatad i ddechrau ym mis Ionawr. Dywedodd Hawkins, "...there is hope that the North Wales Floodlit League will be given the go-ahead, hopefully starting in early January".

It's possible that the North Wales floodlit league will be allowed to take place after all. The League, which was to start last month, was forced to be put on hold by the Football Association of Wales. But, according to Colin Hawkins, it is possible that this league, which would be a great help for Port to bring fringe players into the first team, will be given the go-ahead to start in January. Hawkins said "...there is hope that the North Wales Floodlit League will be given the go-ahead, hopefully starting in early January".

Gemau cyfeillgar i'r Ieuenctid? / Friendly matches for the Youth?
Mae Port mewn trafodaethau â nifer o glybiau, gan gynnwys Everton, Manchester Utd. a Lerpwl, ar gyfer trefnu gemau cyfeillgar i'r tim Ieucenctid. Mae hyn yn dilyn penderfyniad yr FAW i rwystro datblygiad cynghrair llif-oleuadau newydd yn y gogledd.

Port are in negotiations with a number of clubs in order to arrage friendly matches for the youth team. They have a lack of fixtures since the FAW decided to ban the creation of a new floodlit league in the north. Colin Hawkins said:
"We're talking to Everton, Manchester and Liverpool about possible matches against their youth sides, and I'm quite optimistic."

Chwaraewr Newydd / New Player.
Mae Port wedi arwyddo yr ymosodwr, Jason Saddler o glwb Caernarfon. Gwnaeth ei ymddangosiad cyntaf i glwb y Traeth yn ystod y gem yn erbyn y Trallwng ddoe. Gwlewyd hefyd ymddangosiad cyntaf Richard Hughes ers ei anaf yn gynar yn y tymor gyda Mike Davies yn gwneud ymddangosiad cyntaf fel eilydd ers ei anaf yn erbyn Corwen.

Port have made a new signing during the week - striker Jason Saddler from Caernarfon Town. He made his first apperance during the game against Welshpool yesturday. We also saw the return of Richard Hughes who has been out through injury since early on in the season. Mike Davies also made his first apperance as sub since his injury against Corwen.

Trafferthion Anafiadau / Injury Problems.
Mae Port yn parhau i fod mewn trafferthion gyda nifer o chwaraewyr allan oherwydd annafiadau. Ymysg y rhestr o anafiadau mae Mike Davies a gododd anaf yn ystod y gem yn erbyn Corwen, tra cafodd Nigel Barry annaf i'w gefn yn ystod gem gyfeillgar yn ystod yr wythnos yn erbyn Runcorn. Yn parhau i fod allan hefyd mae Richard Hughes a gafodd ei anafu yn fuan yn y tymor. Ond mae newyddion da ynglyn a sefyllfa Oliver Hall sydd bellach yn ôl yn i tim ag wedi sgorio nifer o goliau ar ôl bod allan ers mis Awst.

Port continue to be in trouble with many players out due to injuries. Amongst the injury list are Mike Davies, who suffered an injury during the league encounter against Corwen, while nigel Barry picked up a back injury during a friendly in the week against Runcorn. Still out is Richard Hughes who suffered an injury during the early part of the season. But there is good news about Oliver Hall who is now back in the team after being on the side-lines since August and has managed to score a few goals for the first team already.

Caniatad am Eisteddle / Go Ahead to stand.
Mae Cyngor Sir Gwynedd wedi rhoi caniatad cynllunio i Port i adeiladu eisteddle newydd a fyddai'n dal 300 o bobl, gan ddod a'r maes i fynny i safonnau Cynghrair Cymru. Fel rhan o'r cynllun bydd yn rhaid i'r ddau eisteddle presennol gael ei tynnu i lawr er mwyn cario ymlaen efo'r gwaith. Mae'r cynllun yn ddibynnol nawr ar sicrhau'r grantiau angenrheidiol.

Gwynedd County Council have given the go-ahead for Port to build a new stand which would hold 300 spectators and bring the ground up to League of Wales standards. As part of this scheme the existing stands will have to be demolished before the work can proceed. The plan is still dependent on the club receiving necessary grants.

Mae Colin Hawkins wedi cyfaddef iddo gynnig ei ymddiswyddiad yn ystod gem Port yn erbyn Bae Cemaes yn dilyn perfformiad siomedig y tim. Bydd cyfarwyddwyr y clwb yn cyfarfod i drafod ei ddyfodol dros y pen-wythnos. Mae ymateb Colin i hyn i’w weld yn ei nodiadau i’r rhaglen

The board of directors will meet over the weekend to decide on his future. The reaction of the Hawk to these events can be found in his programme notes

Barlow yn gadael? / Barlow to leave?
Mae tim Hotspurs Caergybi wedi rhoi rhybydd 7 diwrnod eu bod yn bwriadu arwyddo Chris Barlow o Port. Hyd yn hyn y tymor hwn, dim ond ar y fainc mae Barlow wedi ymddangos i Port, ond dangosodd ei fod yn dal yn ymosodwr peryglys yn yr ychydig funudau yr ymddangosodd yn erbyn Bae Cemaes.

Holyhead Hotspurs have given a 7 day notice that they intend to sign Chris Barlow from Port. Up to now this season, Barlow’s only appearances have been on the bench, although he showed that he is still a dangerous attacker in the few minutes that he played against Cemaes Bay.

Golwr yn colli ei fenyg! / Goalie looses his gloves!
Er i Port guro Dinbych ddydd Sadwrn roedd hi’n brynhawn cymysglyd i Kenny Dixon yn y gôl. Ar ddechrau’r gêm cytunodd y byddai’n rhoi £5 i un o gefnogwyr Dimbych os sgoriau Phil Evans yn ei erbyn. Bu’n yn brynhawn costus i’r gôl-geidwad - sgoriodd Evans ddwy gôl! Gan nad oedd ganddo fwy o arian arno, bu’n rhaid iddo roi ei fenyg i’r bachgen oedd yn cefnogi Dinbych!

Even though Port beat Denbigh on Saturday it was a mixed afternoon for Kenny Dixon in goal. At the start of the game he agreed with a Denbigh supporter that he would pay him £5 if Phil Evans scored past him. It was a costly afternoon for the goal-keeper - Evans scored twice! Since he didn’t have any more money on him, he had to give his gloves to the boy who suppoted Denbigh!.

Anafiadau / Injuries
Gyda’r tymor dim ond wedi dechrau ers ychydig wythnosau mae rhestr anafiadau Port yn dechrau cynyddu. Mae Oliver Hall yn parhau i fod allan yn dilyn anaf i’w ligaments a gododd yn ystod gem gyfeillgar yn Bradford. Y chwaraewr arall i ddioddef o anaf ydi Gareth Caughter sydd allan gyda’i droed mewn plastar.

With the season only weeks old the injury list at Port is starting to increase. Oliver Hall is still out following a ligament injury he picked up in a friendly match at Bradford City. The other player who is suffering from injury is Gareth Caughter who will be out for a while, with his foot is in plaster.

Newyddion Tim Ieuenctid / Youth Team News
Chwaraeodd y tim Ieuenctid yn ddiweddar mewn gem gyfeillgar yn erbyn tim Ieuenctid Bury. Colli fu ei hanes o 4-1, gyda Emyr Jones yn sgorio eu hunig gol yn dilyn gwaith da gan David Williams. Ond dywedodd Paul Osahan bod yna nifer o bethau cadarnhaol wedi dod allan o’r gem hon. Pwysleisiodd fod tim Port, oedd wedi ei wneud allan o nifer o chwaraewyr dan 17, wedi gwneud yn dda i gystadlu gyda tim dan 18 Bury.

The youth team, made up mostly of under-17 players, played again recently in a friendly against a Bury Youth squad. Despite loosing by 4-1, coach Paul Osahan felt there were many pluses to come out of the game, as he stressed that this was against a Bury under-18 side. The scorer of Port’s only goal was Emyr Jones, who netted following some good work by David Williams.

Tim Ieuenctid / Youth Team
Chwaraeodd tim ieuenctid newydd Port ei gem gyntaf heddiw mewn cyfres o gemau cyfeillgar a fydd yn cael ei chwarae yn ystod y tymor nesfa. Eu gwrthwynebwyr heddiw oedd tim Ieuenctid Bradford sydd yn chwarae yn Uwch Gynghrair Lloegr. Er mai colli o un gôl i ddim oedd eu hannes roedd y canlyniad hwn yn un da iawn ac yn hwb iddynt ar gyfer y tymor newydd.

Port’s new youth team played their first match today in a seireis of friendly matches that will be played throughout the comming season. Their opponents today were the youth team of English Premiership side - Bradford. Despite loosing by one goal to nill this was a very creditble result that will be a boost for the team as they embark on the new season.

Eisteddle newydd / New Stand
O’r diwedd mae cynlluniau terfynnol wedi eu paratoi ar gyfer yr eisteddle ac ystafelloedd newid newydd. Yn ôl y cynlluniau bydd lle i bron i 300 o gefnogwyr yn yr eisteddle os caiff ganiatad cynllunio ym Mis Medi.
Mae’r clwb wedi gwneud cais am grant sylweddol gan Gyngor Sir Gwynedd. Bydd hyn, yn ogystal ag arian y clwb, yn ddigon i gwblhau’r prosiect. Bydd yr eisteddle wedi ei leoli as safle’r prif eisteddle presennol, tra bydd y ‘stand bach’ yn cael ei ddymchwel ar gyfer estyniad.

At last the final plans have been prepared for the new stand and changing rooms. According to the plans there will be room for nearly 300 supporters if planning permission is given in September.
The club have submitted a bid for a substantial grant from Gwynedd County Council. This, along with the club’s own money, will be enough to complete the project. The stand will be situated at the location of the present main stand, while the ‘small stand’ will be demolished to make room for the extension.

Fel sydd wedi cael ei ddatgan yn barod, mae gwelliannau sydd yn angenrheidiol er mwyn i Port gael ei dyrchafu i’r Gynghrair Genedlaethol, yn cael ei gwneud dros yr haf. Fel rhan o’r cynllun hwn bydd yn rhaid i ran o’r prif eisteddle presennol gael ei dynnu i lawr er mwyn ei gwneud hi’n bosib gosod y nifer anghenrheidiol o seddi (250). Hefyd, bydd ystafelloedd newid newydd yn cael ei adeiladu tu ol i’r eisteddle. Y gobaith yw y bydd cynnlluniau yn cael ei gosod ger bron y cyngor yn ystod yr wythnos nesaf. Mae’r clwb yn gobeithio manteisio ar gynllun grantiau ‘Cist’ sydd yn cael ei redeg gan Gyngor Gwynedd. Mae grantiau eisioes wedi cael ei rhoi o’r gronfa hon i glybiau Pêl-Droed Bangor a Caernarfon.

It has already been reported on this page that improvements, which are all-important if Port want to fulfill their hopes of returning into the League of Wales, are underway over the summer. As part of thes plan a part of the main stand will have to be demolished in order to make it possible for the necessary number of seats (250). On top of this new changing rooms will be built behind the stand. The hope is that plans will be put forward to the councill during the forthcoming week. The club hope to take advantage of ‘Cist’ grant scheme which is run by Gwynedd Councill. Grants have already been awarded from this source to Bangor and Caernarfon Football Clubs.

Gwelliannau i’r Traeth / Face Lift for Traeth.
Mae gwaith yn mynd mlaen yn y Traeth dros yr haf i wneud yn siwr fod y cae yn cyraedd y safon gofynnol ar gyfer dychwelyd i’r Gynghrair Genedlaethol ar ddiwedd y tymor nesaf os bydd dyrchafiad yn cael ei sicrhau. Mae’r gwaith yn cynnwys gosod 300 o seddi ‘tip-up’ yn y prif eisteddle ar gost o £3,500 yn ogystal a Blwch Cyfarwyddwyr gyda 25 sedd. Yn ogystal, bydd wal yn cael ei chodi i amgylchynnu’r cae, a’r ‘dug-out’ yn cael ei ymestyn i roi lle i 8 person i eistedd yno.

Work will take place at Y Traeth over the summer that will aim to make sure that the ground will reach regulations in order to return to the League of Wales at the end of next season if promotion is secured. The work includes installing 300 ‘tip-up’ seats in the main stand at a cost of £3,500, as well as a Director’s Box which includes 25 seats. In addition, a wall will be built surrounding the pitch, and the ‘dug-out’ will be extended to seat 8 people.

Y ddau Neil yn Dychwelyd yn gynnar / The two Neil’s return early.
Dychwelodd Neil Roberts a Neil Jatt o’r Unol Daliaethau ar ol dim ond 5 wythnos. Roedd y ddau, sydd yn rhan o’r cynllun pel-droed yn y gymuned, yn ogystal a cyn chwaraewr Porthmadog Paul Roberts, wedi cael addewid o waith yn hyfforddi plant yn Colorado Springs. Ond, oherwydd diffyg gwaith, yn ogystal a’r ffaith nad oedd ganddynt visa a oedd yn angenrheidiol ar gyfer gweithio yno, bu’n rhaid iddynt ddychwelyd heb unrhyw dâl. Nid yw’r clwb wedi gwneud datganiad swyddogol ynglyn a’r sefyllfa hyd yn hyn.

Neil Roberts and Neil Jatt returned from the United States after only 5 weeks. The two, who take part in the football in the community scheme, as well as ex-Porthmadog player Paul Roberts, were given the promise of work coaching kids in Colorado Springs. But, because of a lack of work, and the fact that they had no visa which they had to have in order to work out there, they had to return without being paid a penny. The club are yet to release an official statement outlining the situation fully.

Mike yn dod nol. / Mike on his way back.
Bydd cyn ymosodwr Port Mike Davies yn dychwelyd i'r Traeth y tymor nesaf. Mae Colin Hawkins wedi ei arwyddo ar ol i'w gytundeb yn Glantraeth ddod i ben. Bu Mike ar y traeth am ddau dymor cyn iddo adael i Glantraeth y tymor cyn diwethaf ar ol derbyn termau ffafriol iawn gan y clwb o Sir Fon.

Ex-Port striker, Mike Davies will be on his way back to the traeth for next season. Colin Hawkins has signed him following the end of his contract at Glantraeth.
