Cyllid ar gyfer Cynllun Sgiliau / Funding for Skills Project

Sicrhaodd y Clwb gyllid oddiwrth cronfeydd Arloesi Gwynedd, Cartrefi Cymunedol Gwynedd ac eraill er mwyn ymgymeryd a’r gwaith o geisio dynodi y galw am hyfforddiant, cyrsiau a datblygu sgiliau ymysg pobol a busnesau ardal Porthmadog, yn bennaf yr hyn a ellir ei ddarparu o fewn y gymuned – ond nid yn angenrheidiol.
Nod y cynllun yw nid yn unig ceisio dynodi beth yw’r galw a’r dyheiadau ymysg y bobol ond hefyd y rhwystrau sydd yn golygu nad ydynt yn manteisio ar, hyd yn oed, y ddarpariaeth sydd yn bodoli’n barod.
Yn y pendraw gobeithir codi mwy o ymwybyddiaeth ymysg rhai o’r trigolion at y ddarpariaeth yn lleol ac hefyd ceisio dynodi beth yw’r prif rwystrau a sut y gellid eu goresgyn. Lle bydd bylchau amlwg yn y galw a’r ddarpariaeth caiff y wybodaeth ei drosglwyddo i’r darparwyr.
Penodwyd Cwmni PMP/Fastrack, sydd a phrofiad eang ym maes hyfforddi ac ymgysylltu a chymunedau, i ymgymeryd a’r brosiect.>br> Os oes unrhyw un o’n cefnogwyr sydd am gymeryd rhan yn y prosiect, a hynny yn gyfrinachol, mae croeso i chwi gysylltu a dafyddwynjones@hotmail.co.uk neu 07986987312

The Club has secured funding from Arloesi Gwynedd, Gwynedd Community Housing and others to fund a project that intends to identify the training, courses, skills development and qualification needs, demand and aspirations of people and businesses in the Porthmadog area. Ideally it will identify the demand for provision within the community but not exclusively.
The aim is not only to identify demand and aspirations but also what are the main reasons why people/businesses are not accessing training services, especially ones that are readily available.
Apart from gauging demand, for what kind of courses, where and when they should be accessed if people have practical problems why they cannot, how can these be overcome. Where gaps can be identified in provision or delivery this information will be relayed to the providers.
The PMP/Fastrack team has been appointed to undertake the work. It has a great deal of experience in training and community engagement/research.
If any one would like to be involved in the confidential project, contact dafyddwynjones@hotmail.co.uk or 07986987312.

Gresffordd v Port Rhagolwg / Preview

Wedi pythefnos heb gemau cynghrair, dydd Sadwrn bydd Port yn teithio i Gresffordd ac yn edrych i barhau a’u sialens yn rhan ucha’r tabl. Ond yn ystod y tri tymor ers i’r Glowyr ddychwelyd i’r HGA ni lwyddodd Port i ennill yn Clappers Lane. Y tymor diwethaf cafwyd gêm gyfartal yno ond, yn y ddau dymor blaenorol, Gresffordd oedd yn fuddugol.
Mae Port ar rediad da yn ddiweddar ac heb golli ers 22 Medi pan gollwyd 2-1 i Airbus. O’r 8 gem a ddilynodd enillwyd 7 gyda un yn gyfartal. Mewn 6 o’r gemau cadwyd llechen lân gan ildio ond 3 gôl yn yr 8 gêm.
Ar hyn o bryd mae Gresffordd yn y 10fed safle gyda 15 pwynt ac yn eu 5 gem ddiwethaf cafwyd 2 fuddugoliaeth a golli’r 3 aeall. Yn eu gêm ddiwethaf colli oedd yr hanes o 2-0 yn Rhuthun. Gyda’r newyddion anafiadau yn addawol, bydd Port yn teithio mewn hwyliau da ond gan ddisgwyl gêm anodd. C’mon Port!

After two weeks without HGA action Port travel to Gresford on Saturday looking to continue the challenge near the top of the table. Port however have not won at Clappers Lane during the three seasons since the Colliers returned to the HGA. Last season the game ended in a 1-1 draw while Gresford were winners in the two previous meetings.
But Port will go into this game in a good run of form, unbeaten since the 22nd September when they went dwn 2-1 to Airbus. Of the 8 league and cup games that followed 7 have been won and one drawn. Six of these games have been clean sheets and just 3 goals conceded during the 8 games.
Gresford currently lie 10th in the table with 15 pts and their record over the last 5 league games shows 2 wins and 3 defeats and last time out they went down 2-0 at Ruthin, Their squad contains many of the same familiar names that have served them well in recent seasons. Their biggest win this season was a 6-0 thumping of Llanrhaeadr and also a good 3-1 victory at Rhyl.
With good news on the injury front, Port will travel in good spirits for what will be a difficult fixture. C’mon Port!

Newyddion da am anaf Julian / Good news for Julian’s return

Mae’r rheolwr Craig Papirnyk wedi adrodd am y diweddara’ ynglyn ac anafiadau aelodau o’r garfan. Gwelwn isod fod y newyddion yn dda am yr anaf dymor hir i Julian Williams ac hefyd ynglyn â Shaun Cavanagh ac Iddon Price, y ddau wedi gorfod gadael y cae yn Llanfair.

Manager Craig Papirnyk has issued the latest update on the state of squad injuries and there is good news regarding the long term injury to Julian Williams as well as Shaun Cavanagh and Iddon Price, who left the pitch at Llanfair:

“Julian featured in the mid week friendly with Corwen and converted a penalty. He obviously took it easy during his time on the pitch but he got through the 45mins and we hope he’ll be given the all clear this Friday which will mean he can travel with the squad on Saturday.
“Shaun Cav sprained his ankle at Llanfair, it is a weakness that has been with him for some time but thankfully having no game last week has allowed him more time to recover, he will train this week and we will see what he is like after that, we are confident he will be ok for the weekend.
“Iddon has been struggling with his Knee for some time, like Cav he has had some much needed rest which is great for him and hopefully all that he needed, Iddon shouldn’t have any problems this week and will be available for our trip to Gresford on the weekend.
“Dan Roberts unfortunately needs to see a knee specialists as the tendinitis isn’t getting any better and he won’t feature for some time.
“Dewi Thomas is awaiting an ankle operating as he has bone that is rubbing together and causing him problems, he will have a cortisone injection within the next few weeks which will allow him to play pain free and we are hoping he’ll be back before Xmas.
“Gruff John has a similar problem with floating bone in his ankle but he can continue to play for us and is only affected at certain times when the bone gets stuck in the joint.
^Other than that the squad is looking good, we are in good form and can’t wait to get back playing this weekend.”

Pb lwc Dale.

Dale Davies has left the club to join Corwen FC.

AIRBUS yn Rownd 3 / Its AIRBUS in Round 3

Am y trydydd tro y tymor hwn bydd Port oddi cartref yng Nghwpan Cymru. Mae’r lwc a gafwyd yn y gystadleuaeth llynedd wedi diflannu y tro yma.
Ar bnawn Sadwrn 8fed Rhagfyr bydd yna daith i’r Maes Awyr yn aros Port, i chwarae AIRBUS, y clwb sydd ar frig yr HGA gyda record cant y cant.
Golyga hyn y bydd Port ac Airbus, yn ogystal a chyfarfod ddwywaith yn y gynghrair, hefyd yn wynebu eu gilydd mewn dwy gystadleuaeth Gwpan gan y byddant hefyd yn chwarae rownd cynderfynol Cwpan Huws Gray ym mis Chwefror.

For the third time Port have been drawn away in this season’s JD Welsh Cup. The luck which gave them successive home draws last season has deserted them this time round.
On Saturday, 8th December they will travel to The Airfield to take on this season’s HGA front runners AIRBUS in Round 3.
This means, in addition to the two league fixtures between the two clubs, they will also meet twice in Cup competitions. In February they will also meet in the semi=final of the Huws Gray Cup.

Meddai Craig Papirnyk, “Byddwn yn mynd â charfan gymysg gan nad oes gêm gan y tîm cyntaf nac yr 2ail dîm y penwythnos nesaf am fod yna doriad at y gemau rhyngwladol. Felly penderfynwyd ychwanegu gêm er mwyn i’r hogiau ddal i gael y munudau ar y cae.”

A friendly fixture has been arranged with the Wrexham area WNL club CORWEN to be played next Tuesday, 13th November.

Rhediad yr Ail-dîm yn parhau / Reserves go marching on

Parhau a’u record cant y cant wnaeth talentau ifanc Sion Eifion, yn erbyn Phoenix Penmaenmawr heno ar noson o dywydd difrifol iawn. Ar y Traeth heno sicrhawyd yr unfed buddugoliaeth ar ddeg yn olynol.
Cafwyd y cychwyn gorau posib’, ac ar ôl ond 7 munud roedd Port 2 gôl ar y blaen gyda Cai Henshaw a Dion Roberts yn sgorio. Erbyn i hanner awr fynd heibio roedd y sgôr yn 4-0 gyda Reece Evans yn rhwydo ddwywaith. Gwnaeth yr ymwelwyr y sgôr yn 4-1 ar yr hanner. Rhwydodd Jack Davies 5ed gôl Port ar ôl 50 munud, a dyna sut arhosodd y sgôr tan y 10 munud olaf pan sgoriodd Tony Foskett ddwywaith a gwneud y sgôr terfynol yn 7-1.
Gyda Dinbych, sydd yn ail, hefyd yn cael buddugoliaeth fawr mae Port yn aros ar frig y tabl a 6 phwynt ar y blaen.

Sion Eifion’s young talents continued their relentless run as they maintained their 100% record on an evening of atrocious weather conditions at the Traeth. Tonight, they recorded a 7-1 win over Penmaenmawr Phoenix making it 11 straight wins.
They got off to a flying start and by the 7th minute they were 2-0 ahead thanks to goals from Cai Henshaw and Dion Roberts. The lead was 4-0 by the half-hour mark with Reece Evans netting twice. On 42 minutes Phoenix reduced the deficit making it 4-1 at half-time. 10 minutes into the second period Jack Davies added Port’s 5th goal and that was how the score remained until the final 10 minutes of the game when Tony Foskett netted twice to make it 7-1 at the final whistle.
With 2nd placed Denbigh Town also recording a big win it means that Port remain 6 points clear at the top of the Reserve League.

Cwpan Cymru / Welsh Cup: Rhagolwg / Preview

Gan fydd yna lai o ddiweddaru ar y wefan yn ystod y dyddiau nesaf, cawn edrych ymlaen at y gêm yng Nghwpan Cymru ychydig ynghynt na’r arfer.
Pnawn Sadwrn byddwn yn ymweld â Llanfair Caereinion gan edrych ymlaen at adnewyddu ein cysylltiad gyda’r cyfeillion yn CPD Llanfair United. Ar hyn o bryd mae’r clwb o’r Canolbarth yn y 6ed safle yn y tabl. Mae Llanfair wedi achosi sioc o’r blaen yn y gystadleuaeth hon ac, yn nhymor 2016/17, llwyddodd y clwb gyrraedd rownd yr 8-olaf. Ar y ffordd cafwyd buddugoliaethau dros Y Fflint a Derwyddon Cefn cyn colli’n drwm i Gaernarfon.
Fe gofiwch fod Port wedi chwarae ar Gae’r Mownt ddwywaith o’r blaen pan oedd Llanfair yn yr HGA rhwng 2015/17. Does dim angen ein hatgoffa am yr ymweliad cynta hwnnw. Roedd Port ar y blaen 1-0 ar yr hanner diolch i gûl gan Julian Williams ond yn yr ail hanner rhwydodd Llanfair 5 gwaith i ennill 5-1! Blwyddyn yn ddiweddarach cafwyd ymweliad hapusach gyda goliau Jamie McDaid a Chris Jones yn ei gwneud yn 2-0 i Port.
Y flaenoriaeth y Sadwrn nesaf fydd osgoi’r croen banana posib ac o blaid Port mae ganddynt rhediad da diweddar yn ennill 6 a cyfartal 1 o’r 7 gêm ddiwethaf. Ehaid anelu cadw’r rhediad i fynd gan barchu ein gwrthwynebwyr. C’mon Port!

A little earlier than usual, as there might be fewer updates on the website during the next few days; we take a look at the upcoming Welsh Cup Round 2 tie.
On Saturday we look forward to the visit to Llanfair Caereinion to take on Llanfair United and renew our association with the mid-Wales club. They are currently placed 6th in their table. Llanfair have previous for causing shock results in the Welsh Cup and in season 2016/17 they reached the quarter-final of the competition. Among their victims, along the way, were Flint and Cefn Druids before going down heavily to Caernarfon in the quarter-final.
Port have played at the Mount Field on two previous occasions when Llanfair played in the HGA between 2015-17. We need no reminding of that first visit in September 2015. Port lead 1-0 at half-time with Julian Williams the scorer but, in the second period, Llanfair scoried five times without reply. The second visit a year later proved a happier affair, with Jamie McDaid and Chris Jones giving Port a 2-0 victory.
The priority next Saturday must again be to avoid a banana skin. In Port’s favour they are on a good run of form, winning 6 and drawing 1 of their last 7 games. The aim must be to keep the run going but give full respect to our opponents. C’mon Port!

Deg allan o ddeg! / Perfect ten for Reserves

Deg allan o ddeg i’r Ail-dîm yn parhau a’u rhediad cant y cant wrth guro Llangefni heno ar Y Traeth. Cai Henshaw arweiniodd y ffordd yn rhoi Port ar y blaen ar ôl 11 munud. Aeth Cai ymlaen i ddybli’r fantais ac agor y ffordd am fwy o goliau wrth i Rhys Hughes a Dion Roberts wneud y sgôr yn 4-0 ar yr hanner.
Yn yr ail hanner llwyddodd Llagefni i gadw Port i un gôl ychwanegol gydai Math Roberts yn rhwydo cic rhydd i wneud y sgôr terfynol yn 5-0.
Sylw Craig Papirnyk wrth longyfarch tîm talentog Sion Eifion oedd, “Pleser pur i wylio tim ifanc Porthmadog yn chwarae ... chwarae pêl-droed gwych.”

The Reserves made it a perfect TEN with a 5-0 defeat of Llangefni Town tonight. Cai Henshaw showed the way with a 11-minute opener and went on to double the advantage setting off a burst of scoring leading up to the interval as Rhys Hughes and Dion Roberts joined in to make it 4-0 at the interval.
In the second period Llangefni kept the young Port team to just one further goal with Math Roberts netting directly from free kick to make the final score 5-0.
Club manager Craig Papirnyk complimented Sion Eifion’s charges on their fine record saying, “Absolute joy to watch this young Porthmadog side playing ..... playing some beautiful football.”

Cegidfa / Guilsfield v Port: Rhagolwg / Preview

Pnawn Sadwrn bydd Port yn teithio I Gegidfa ar gyfer gêm gynghrair. Dydy’r HGA ddim yn cynnig gemau hawdd ac yn sicr ni fydd Clos Mytton yn lle hawdd I gael canlyniad boddhaol. Yn dilyn canlyniadau cymysg, bellach mae Cegidfa ar rhediad da ac heb golli yn eu tair gêm ddiwethaf ac wedi symud i fyny i’r 7fed safle. Y Sadwrn diwethaf cawsant gêm gyfartal 2-2 yn erbyn Treffynnon. Un o’u sgorwyr oedd cyn flaenwr Caersws a’r Derwyddon Cefn, Steve Blenkinsop, sydd wedi rhwydo 6 gwaith y tymor hwn.
Yn y gêm gyfatebol y tymor diwethaf bu’n rhaid chwarae mewn storom o eira. siawns fod y Sadwrn cyntaf ym mis Tachwedd yn rhy fuan i ail adrodd y math yna o dywydd!! Cafwyd un o berfformiadau gorau Port yn y gêm honno, yn ennill o 3-1 er waethaf chwarae efo 10 dyn am dross hanner awr. Cafwyd dwy gôl gan Sion Bradley ac un gan Julian Williams.
Bydd Port yn gobeithio ymestyn eu rhediad 4 gêm yn ddiguro, rhediad sydd wedi ei codi i’r 3ydd safle yn y tabl. C’mon Port!!

On Saturday Port travel to Guilsfield for a league fixture. There are no easy games in the HGA and Clos Mytton is certainly not an easy place to get a result. Following a mixed bag of results and a 5-0 defeat at Airbus, the Guils are getting into their stride and two wins and a draw bring them up to 7th place in the table. Last Saturday they drew 2-2 away at Holywell with ormer Caersws and Cefn Druids striker Steve Blenkinsop on the scoresheet, bringing his total so far this season to 6 goals.
Last season’s corresponding fixture was played in a severe snowstorm something we can surely avoid on the first Saturday in November!! That proved to be one of Port’s best performances of the season, gaining a 3-1 victory, despite having to play with ten men for the last 32 minutes. The goals came from Julian Williams and Sion Bradley who netted twice.
Port will be hoping to extend a 4-match unbeaten league run which has taken them up to 3rd place in the table. C’mon Port!
