Mel Charles
Mel Charles
Arwyddodd Mel Charles - chwaraewr rhyngwladol Cymru, a brawd yr enwog John Charles - i Port tua diwedd tymor 1964/65. Roedd yn rhan o'r tim enwog ar y Traeth yn ystod y 60'au, a aeth ymlaen i ennill tair pencampwriaeth Cynghrair Gogledd Cymru rhwng 1966/67 a 1968/69. Gadawodd Mel Charles y clwb yn 1967 i ymuno â Port Vale.
Mel Charles - the Welsh international player, and brother of the world-famous John Charles - signed for Port towards the end of the 1964/65 season. He was part of the famous Port side, who, during the 60's, went on to win a hatric of Welsh league (north) titles between 1966/67 and 1968/69. Mel Charles left the club to sign for Port Vale in 1967.

"Super" Dave Taylor
Dave Taylor
Pan ddaeth "Super Dave" i'r Traeth yn ystod y tymor cyntaf yn y gyngrair genedlaethol nid oedd pethau yn edrych yn dda iawn i'r clwb. Llwyddodd goliau Dave, nid yn unig i achub y tim rhag y gwymp, ond hefyd eu codi i'r wythfed safle. Gwnaeth hyd yn oed yn well yn ei ail dymor, gan sgorio 45 o goliau, roedd hyn yn fwy na unrhyw un arall yn Ewrop, ac yn ddigon iddo guro Andy Cole o Newcastle am y "Golden Boot". Yn ogystal a hyn cafodd Dave ei bleidleisio yn chwareaewr gorau oedd yn chwarae i dim yng Nghymru.
Y tymor canlynol ymunodd Dave â Inter Caerdydd, ond cyn diwedd y tymor roedd wedi gadael y clwb. Bellach mae'n chwarae i'r Trallwng, a dim ond atgof yw'r dyddiau da!
When "Super Dave" arived at Y Traeth during Porthmadog's first season in the League of Wales things didn't look good for the club. Dave succeded, not only to save the club from the drop, but also to lift them to eighth in the league. He did even better during his second season with the club, his 45 goals were enough for him to beat Andy Cole of Newcastle to win the "Golden Boot". To add to this he was voted the best player who played for a Welsh team.
The following season Dave joined with Inter Cardiff, but before the end of the season he had leaved the club. He now plays for Welshpool, and the good days are but a memory!

Mici Thomas Mickey Thomas Daeth Mickey Thomas i Port fel chwaraewr pan roedd y clwb o dan arweiniad cyn chwaraewr Cymru, Ian Edwards. Ond, ar ôl i Ian Edwards gael ei ddi-swyddo, cymerodd Mickey y llyw, gan arwain y clwb i un o'r rhediadau gwaethaf yn ei hanes,- dim ond un pwynt mewn bron i dri mis. Er hyn, roedd y cadeirydd ar yr amser, Iwan V. Jones, yn barod i roi cytundeb iddo i reioli'r clwb am dymor arall, ond penderfynnodd Mickey ei bod yn amser i symud ymlaen unwaith eto.
Mickey Thomas came to Porthmadog as a player when the club was under the management of ex-Wales player, Ian Edwards. But, after the dismissal of Edwards, Thomas was apointed player-manager, he lead the club to one of the worst spells in it's history,- only one point in nearly three months. Despite of this, the chairman at the time, Iwan V. Jones, was prepared to offer him a contract to manage the team for another season, but Mickey decided that it was time to move on again.

Kipax (Nigel Smith)
Nigel Smith
"Kippax" oedd partner ymosodol Dave Taylor yn y tymor lle torodd Taylor yr holl recordiau. Bu Kippax, yn wahanol i Dave, yn aelod o'r tim am flynyddoedd lawer, gan fod yn sgoriwr selog am nifer o dymhorau. Bu hyd yn oed yn rhaid iddo ddod allan o ymddeoliad yn nhymor 1997/98 pan roedd gan Port drafferthion â anafiadau.
"Kippax" was Dave Taylor's striking partner during Taylor's record breaking season. Kippax, unlike Dave, was a member of the team for many years, and he was a regular scorer for a number of seasons. He even had to come out of retirement for Port in the 1997/98 season when there was a major injury crisis.

Paul Roberts
Paul Roberts
Er mai dim ond am lai na tymor y bu Paul yn y tîm, gwnaeth wahaniaeth mawr i Port - ar, ac oddi-ar y cae. Roedd yn chwarewr ifanc addawol, ac fe sgoriodd nifer o goliau anhygoel yn ei gyfnod byr â'r clwb - fo oedd prif sgoriwr y gynhrair pan adawodd cyn Nadolig 1996.
Pan symudod i Wrecsam am £10,000, gwnaeth wahaniaeth mawr i gyflwr ariannol y clwb, ond hefyd i gyflwr y tîm yn y gynhrair. Ar ôl iddo adael disgynnodd y clwb o frig y gynhrair i orffen y tymor mewn safle canol-tabl arferol.
Even though he was only at the club for less than a season, Paul made a great difference to Port - on, and off the field. He was a promising young player, and he scored many amazing goals in his short time at the club - he was the league's top scorer when he left just before Christmas 1996.
When he moved to Wrexham for £10,000, this made a big difference to the club's financial situation, but also to the club's situation. After he left, the club fell from the top of the league to finish the season in their normal mid-table possition.
