Buddugoliaeth
Dyna wahaniaeth mae buddugoliaeth yn ei wneud! Roedd buddugoliaeth nos Wener yng Nghaernarfon yn codi ysbryd pawb yn y clwb. Pan nad yw pethau’n mynd yn iawn mae pawb yn gwybod yn well sut i redeg y tîm. Chwaraewch fel hyn, newidiwch hyn newidiwch y llall. Maen siwr fod rhai yn meddwl fod Osian a minnau yma ar ddiwrnod gêm ac wedyn yn mynd yn syth adref. Da o beth os fyddai cyn hawdded â hynny.

Wythnos Rheolwyr
Yn fyr. gwnaf roi ychydig o ddyddiadur yr wythnos ddiwethaf.
Gwener: Y gêm yn erbyn Caernarfon.
Sadwrn: Daeth Osian i’r Traeth ar gyfer gêm yr Ail Dîm tra roeddwn i yn Llangefni i weld y gêm yn erbyn Cegidfa.
Sul: Ffonio’r chwaraewyr i glywed am unrhyw anafiadau a rhoi ychydig o sylwadau ar gêm Caernarfon ar gyfer y papurau.
Llun: Ffonio chwaraewyr i drefnu at y gêm Dan 21. Osian yn treulio bob nos Lun gyda’r Academi.
Mawrth: Cymryd yr ymarfer gyda’r garfan tra yr oedd Osian ar y Traeth ar gyfer y gêm Dan 21 yn erbyn Y Trallwng.
Mercher: Derbyn galwadau wrth y papurau lleol a’r Daily Post ynglyn â gêm y penwythnos yn erbyn Cwmbrân tra fo Osian yn cysylltu a’r gymdeithas Bêl Droed ynglyn â gwaharddiad Neil Thomas.
Iau: Ymarfer eto ac ysgrifennu’r erthygl hwn i olygydd sy’n mynnu ei gael!!
Gwener: Ffonio chwaraewyr drwy gyda’r nos i gadarnhau unrhyw drefniadau a sicrhau nad oes yna anafiadau.

Ni fu’r wythnos hon yn fawr prysurach nag unrhyw un arall –wythnos arferol yn hanes rheolwyr CPD Porthmadog. Mae cadw golwg ar a chwaraewyr lleol yn yr Ail Dîm, y tîm Dan 21 ac unrhyw chwaraewr arall a dderbyniom adroddiadau da amdano yn bwysig i’r clwb. Mae’r gwaith gyda’r Academi yn bwysig i ddatblygiad tymor hir y clwb. Nid ydym yn gofyn am fedal ond mae’r cyfan yn cymryd amser ynghyd â gweithio’n llawn amser a cheisio cyflawni galwadau teuluol. Un peth sy’n sicr yw fod y cyfan yn haws ar ôl buddugoliaeth!

Swyddogion y Clwb
Os oes gen i lawer i’w wneud mae gan rai o’r swyddogion lawer mwy eto. Mae Cadeirydd y clwb, Phil Jones, wir angen cymorth gyda’r cae yn dilyn yr holl gêmau sydd wedi bod a hefyd y tywydd gwael. Os oes rhywun allan yna yn barod i wneud, dewch ymlaen os gwelwch yn dda. Mae eraill yn cynnwys y cyfarwyddwyr, staff y gegin a llawer mwy yn brwydro i gadw pethau i fynd. Heb y bobl yma ni fyddai gennym glwb.

Gwaharddiad Neil Thomas
Derbyniodd Neil Thomas gerdyn coch tra’n chwarae i Lanrug ddydd Sadwrn. Doedd gen i ddim syniad ei fod yn mynd i chwarae. Galwad funud olaf oedd hyn gan Aled Owen, rheolwr Llanrug. Cafodd Neil waharddiad o dair gêm –tair o gêmau Llanrug. Mae’r drefn cofrestru i ail glwb yn cosbi y clwb sydd yn ddieuog. Mae Neil wedi siomi’n fawr gan ei fod wedi edrych ymlaen i ddychwelyd i Lanelli. Bydd hyn yn golled gan ei fod wedi gwneud gwahaniaeth mawr i’r tîm.

Daliwch i gredu.

A Win.
What a difference a win makes! Last Friday night’s win at Caernarfon has been a welcome boost for all at the club. When things are not going well, everyone seems to know better. Play like this, change that, change this. Some people probably think that Osian and I just turn up for matches and then go home. I wish it were that easy.

A manager’s week
Briefly I will give you a run down of the past week.
Friday: We had the game against Caernarfon.
Saturday: Osian came down to watch the Reserves while I went to see Llangefni play Guilsfield.
Sunday: I phoned the players to check for knocks and provided the papers with quotes on the Caernarfon win.
Monday: On the phone to the players arranging for the Under21 game. Osian’s Mondays are now usually taken up with the Academy
Tuesday: I took the training with the first team squad while Osian came down for the Under 21 game against Welshpool.
Wednesday: I took calls from the local papers and the Daily Post regarding the weekend game against Cwmbran while Osian was on the phone with the Welsh FA regarding Neil Thomas’ ban.
Thursday : Training again and writing this article for the ever demanding programme editor!.
Friday: The evening is taken up with phoning players to firm up arrangements and check up on any injuries and so on.
This week has not been any busier than any other, just a normal week as managers of Porthmadog FC. We see it as important that we keep an eye on local players in the reserves, under 21’s and in other teams where we have heard good reports from people in the know. The work with the Academy is important for the long term development of the club. We are not looking for a medal, but all this takes time on top of a full time job and family commitments. I can tell you that the work is a lot easier after a win!!

Club Officials
If we have a lot to do then many of the club officials have it even harder. Phil Jones, the club Chairman is desperate for help with the pitch with all the games on it and the poor weather. If there is any one out there willing to help make yourself known and lend a hand. Others like the Directors, canteen staff and many others struggle to keep things going. Without them we would not have a club.

Neil Thomas’ Ban
Neil Thomas was sent off playing for Llanrug last Saturday. I had no idea he was going to play. It was a last minute call up by Llanrug manager Aled Owen. He has been given a three match ban, -they will be three Llanrug games. The current situation with second club forms is penalising us the innocent party in this matter. He is gutted especially as he was looking forward to going back to Llanelli next week. He has made a big difference to us since his arrival and it will be a big loss.

Thanks for your continued support.
