Barn Cefnogwr / Fan's View - Grange Quins v Port

Saesneg / English

Am yr ail dro yn ystod y bythefnos ddiwethaf roedd rhaid ir criw o Ynys Mn gychwyn am 7 or gloch y bore i ymuno gweddill chwaraewyr a chefnogwyr Port i flasu pleserau taith ar hyd yr A470 yr holl ffordd i lawr i El Dorado i chwarae yn erbyn Cwins y Grange yn Stadiwm Leckwith.

Rwyn ymwybodol fod ei olygon wedi cyfeirio tua Twickers ar gyfer jyncet fawr dilyn yr wy ond, os y gwnaiff cynorthwyo datblygiad pl droed yng Nghymru groesi meddwl y Prif Weinidog, Rhodri Morgan, gallai wneud llawer gwaeth na sicrhau bod yna ffordd dderbyniol yn cael eu hadeiladu or gogledd ir de.

Rwyn siwr y byddai llawer agwedd arall on bywyd cenedlaethol yn elwa o benderfyniad or fath.

Erbyn inni gyrraedd Llanfair-Ym-Muallt i gael brecwast ac ymestyn ychydig ar y coesau roedd rhai or chwaraewyr wedi bod ar y bws am dair awr a hanner!

Gwellodd pethau erbyn inni gyrraedd Merthyr, arwydd clir fod El Dorado o fewn tafliad carreg go lew ac i brofi hynny dyma ni ar ffordd ddeuol gydar bws yn cyflymu yn ei flaen fel petai wedi cael rhyw fywyd newydd.

Cyrraedd Stadiwm Leckwith tua 1.15 pm ac ir chwaraewyr golyga newid yn gyflym ac allan ar y cae i ymestyn y coesau a llacior cyhyrau ac erbyn 2.30 pm roedd disgwyl iddynt fod yn barod am 90 munud caled cystadleuol.

Eironir sefyllfa oedd ein bod ond pellter cic rhydd Meic Foster o Fae Caerdydd maes chwarae Rhodri Morgan au gyd aelodau cynulliad. Tybed a wnaiff y ffaith fod Cwins y Grange yn croesawu Port cyrraedd hyd yn oed minws 30 ar eu Graddfa Richter o ddiddordebau?

Nid oedd y gm yr orau i ddiddorir dorf fechan ond dipyn yn well na chrio ich cwrw am yr hyn a oedd yn digwydd yn Twickers! Roedd Port ddwy gl ar y blaen o fewn ugain munud ac yn hwylio at y dwbl dros y clwb ar waelod y gynghrair. Buont braidd yn garedig ir Cwins yn yr ail hanner gan wastraffu nifer fawr o gyfleoedd i sgorio. Un peth iw groesawu yn fawr oedd ymddangosiad cyntaf mewn gm i ffwrdd criw swnllyd lesisalegend a ganodd a siantio drwy gydol y gm.

’r dasg wedii chwblhau, roeddem yn l ar y ffordd gydar tri phwynt yn ddiogel a hynny heb gael gl yn ein herbyn ac ar ben hynny wedi codi ir ddegfed safle. Dychwelom yn hwyr i Wynedd a Mn unwaith eto. Llywodraeth y Cynulliad ewch ymlaen r adeiladu!

Gareth Williams.

Fan's View - Grange Quins v Port

For the second time in a fortnight, it was an early 7am start for the Ynys Mn contingent as Port tasted the delights of a journey along the length of the A470 down to El Dorado to meet the Grange Quins at the Leckwith Stadium.

I know that his sights were turned towards the egg chasing bash at Twickers but, if assisting the development of Welsh soccer ever crosses the mind of First Minister Rhodri Morgan then, he could do far worse than having a decent road built from north to south.

Im sure that many other facets of Welsh life could also benefit from such a decision.

By the time we reached Builth Wells for breakfast and a leg stretcher, some of the players had been on the coach for three and a half hours!

Things improved when we reached Merthyr and you soon realised that you were within striking distance of El Dorado for the road became a dual carriageway and the coach sped on delighted by its new found freedom.

We reached the Leckwith Stadium at 1.15pm and for the players it was quick change and a run out to get rid of the stiffness from the joints and by 2.30pm they were expected to be ready for a hard competitive 90 minutes of football.

Ironically, we were within shooting distance of Cardiff Bay, the stamping ground of Rhodri Morgan and his fellow legislators but the fact that Grange Quins were entertaining Porthmadog only reached minus 30 on their Richter scale of interests.

The game did not provide the few supporters who had turned out with the best of entertainment but better than crying into your beer at events at Twickers. Port were two up in twenty minutes and then coasted to a double over the struggling Quins. They were over generous to their lowly opponents spurning a hatful of goal chances. One good feature however was the away debut of the lesisalegend crew who sang and chanted their way through the game.

The job done and we were back on the road again three points in the bag, a clean sheet and up to tenth spot in the league. It was another late return to Gwynedd and Ynys Mn. Assembly Government get on with the road building!

Gareth Williams.
