Barn Cefnogwr / Fan's View - Port Talbot v Port

Saesneg / English

Wrth i Port lanio yn Port Talbot ar gyfer brwydr y Porthladdoedd, roedd yn glir fod gan y ddau glwb ddigon i chwarae amdano.

Roedd Madog angen adeiladu ar eu buddugoliaeth swmpus yn erbyn Cefn tra roedd Talbot am ddiweddu rhediad lle gwelwyd hwy yn colli pedair gwaith yn olynol.

Nid oedd yn syndod felly fod yn yr hanner cyntaf ormod o densiwn i roi unrhyw win o safon yn wir gwin digon rhad cafodd eu gynnig.

Prin iawn oedd yr ergydion ar gl mewn hanner lle gwelwyd y tm cartref rhywfaint ar y blaen -o ryw ddau gynnig ar gl i un.

Cafodd Paul Friel, y newydd ddyfodiad o Fangor, ei gm gyntaf i Port ac er nad oedd wedi cael cyfle i ymarfer gydar hogiau eraill ar l arwyddo yn hwyr yn yr wythnos , gwnaeth argraff dda ar ddechrau ei yrfa gyda Port.

Chwaraewr canol cae ydyr union beth sydd angen ar Port i lenwir gwagle a adawyd oherwydd arhosiad byr Neil Thomas ar Y Traeth. Gallai hefyd arwain at ryddhau Gareth Parry i chwarae rl mwy ymosodol.

Wrth sn am chwaraewyr newydd, da oedd clywed fod John Gwynfor yn l yn ymarfer gydar tm cyntaf.

Nid yw wedi bod ar gael i Port y tymor hwn oherwydd rhesymau personol a galwadau gwaith. Bydd croeso mawr iddo os y daw yn l.

Beth bynnag yn l at gm Port Talbot!

Roedd hi dipyn yn fwy bywiog yn yr ail hanner gydar ddau dm yn creu mwy o gyfleoedd.

Cafodd Carl Owen gyfle da yn y munudau cyntaf or ail hanner ond dim ond ychydig yn ddiweddarach roedd Port Talbot ar y blaen.

Ond nid aeth fawr o amser heibio cyn i Port ddod yn l ir gm wrth i Les Davies greun wych a Carl Owen yn gorffen mewn steil mwy o siampaen na phort ddwedwn i!

Roedd enw Les Davies yn amlwg ar y gl hon oes na syndod fod Clayton Blackmore yn gymaint o ffan ohono!

Daeth y gl a sicrhaodd y fuddugoliaeth i Port Talbot ar adeg pan feddyliodd pawb fod Port wedi gwneud digon i sicrhau pwynt ardderchog mewn gm anodd. Mae colli mor hwyr yn y gm yn brofiad diflas tu hwnt.

Rwan wyneba Port ddwy gm yn erbyn Cwins y Grange. Gemau ywr rhain y DYLAI Port eu hennill yn gyfforddus. Gemau maen RHAID iddynt eu hennill. Ond rhaid cerdded yn ofalus gan gofio am y croen banana.

Iwan Gareth.

Fan's View - Port Talbot v Port

As Porthmadog docked in Port Talbot for the battle of the Ports it was clear that both teams had plenty to play for.

Madog wanted to build on their emphatic win against Newi, while the Talbot wanted to bring to an end a run of four straight defeats.

It was therefore hardly surprising that the first half was too tense to be vintage stuff more like cheap plonk than Port!

Chances were few and far between in a first half that the hosts just about edged by about two chances to one.

Paul Friel, the new signing from Bangor, made his debut for Port, and despite not having trained with the other lads after signing late in the week, he made a promising start to his career at Port.

A new mid-fielder is probably just what Port needed to fill the space left because of Neil Thomas fleeting stay at the Traeth and should free up Gareth Parry to play a more attacking role.

On the subject of new players, it was good to hear that John Gwynfor was recently back training with the first team.

Hes been unable to play for Port so far this season because of work commitments and personal reasons, but his return would be very welcome.

Any way, back to the Port Talbot game!

Things livened up quite a bit in the second half with both sides creating far more chances.

Carl Owen had an excellent chance in the opening minutes of the second half, but minutes later Port Talbot were in the lead.

But it wasnt long before Port were back in the game, and Les Davies work in creating the goal for Carl Owen to coolly finish was more Champagne than Port!

This move had Les Davies written all over it no wonder Clayton Blackmore is such a fan.

Port Talbots late winner was a sucker punch. Everyone thought that Port had done enough to secure what would have been an excellent away point - to lose at such a late stage is always hard to take.

Port now face two games against Cardiff Grange Quins. These are games that Port SHOULD win comfortably, games they HAVE to win! But Port should be cautious of what the clich merchants would call potential banana-skins.

Iwan Gareth.
